does it take unprotected flat tpp batteries? i want to put a vapcell f12 for longer runtimes

No. It doesn't take flat top cells. I tried a flat top Shockli Orange 14500 but notches near the positive terminal on the driver physically prevented the flat top from touching the positive terminal.
