0:24 Ouch! That fan belt. Beyond that, its always a pleasure to see a old 'Grave and hear it growl. I'll be sad when CFD retires all of them and sells them. I remember being a kid and being outside of school during recess. Truck 28 was rocking and rolling a old 'Grave to a call. It was awesome. Edit:I see the shops done up the headlights with the metal slabs. Reminds me of FDE269(May she RIP).
Unfortunately (but fortunately) the Seagraves are a dying breed. There are only a few left and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re retired once the new eone trucks go in service. Out of the few left E279 is definitely my favorite. Gonna miss it.
@@metraforce441 hopefully a private collector buys her and refurbish her. Or maybe the producers on Chicago Fire will buy her as a background vehicle for scenes where 81 has a different company on scene. Chicago Fire did They did the same with old Engine 94.
Seagrave’s Are CFD’s Best Trucks Especially 81 I Love Em
I think They should bring back seagrave for cfd
I agree. Seagraves are built in Clintonville, Wisconsin (just west of Green Bay).
Nice Catch Of the seagrave I love the 6V92 on seagrave the 1998 I been see ab6v71 on Detroit
That’s definitely a 6V92, you can tell by the high pitched trumpet like sound most V6’s make
@@hagerstownredline5274 I hope they can put a 8v92 or something

Nice catch
Nice catch, it’s a beautiful truck
Sure is! This one particularly for the original mars light!
Go get em brothers
SEAGRAVE!!!!!!! 😮
I LOVE IT!!!! SEAGRAVE!!!!
Of course you do!
How many of these Seagraves are still left in the spare pool?
It looks like truck 81 from Chicago fire
Seagrave İ Love You
Their E-One ladders won't last nearly as long as that Seagrave did.
It’s gonna be sad once those Seagraves go away…
Agreed. The 6v92 will always sound amazing!
Big time
Seagrave CFD spares are very reliable
Pathetic that Chicago Fire would need to use a 30 year old ladder truck even as a spare
Trucks were way more reliable 30 years ago then any modern truck
That’s why it’s a spare. Obviously you don’t know how expensive apparatus is along with maintenance which is why they are in a spare lol
