Chain and Sprocket sizes 520 vs 525 vs 530

sprocket used as example is 520 to show the different chain sizes.
1st is 520 chain with 520 sprocket
2nd is 525 chain with 520 sprocket
3rd is 530 chain with 520 sprocket

what happens if i use 520 sprocket and a 530 chain ? will it fall off ?

It will be unstable and the risk of it twisting and breaking is very high. Also the chain wint fit 100 into the teeth

In an emergency you call always run a wider chain on narrower sprockets.
