How to rig a Skipbait. A step by step how to.can be done
In matter of minutes. personally i spend couple extra seconds on the rigging can have the bait working for hours longer.... if it dont get eaten right away!

I see you rigged the hook facing down. Does this help the hookup rate better than facing up? Thanks for the rig

Lastpaceended it doesn’t matter because realistically you don’t know what side the fish will eat it from or what side the bait will be on the hook will move

Where can I find those tubing? What are the dimensions on those tube like interior diameter and outside diameter are those plastic or silicone? Thanks

That tubing is the same material used as armour protection for when crimping loops for your rigs. Don’t matter too much on diameter as long you can get your thread thru easy but yet holds shape and stays stiff if possible

Can you tell me how much drag you run on strike for a skip bait, and how long do you give the fish to eat before you up the drag and set the hook?

With a skip in the rigger with a rubber band and tiagra reels have a great freespool tension with just the clicker. So complete free spool with clicker on there’s enough tension for free spool but if the fish hits hard and runs there’s enough to prevent a bird nest. Depends as some parts of the moon phase they can be doey so need more time but when the fish are going in r pack attacks of multiple fish 3 or 4 full seconds is enough
