I actually don't think that it was intentional. This song was released in 2000 after all during the birth of peer-to-peer file sharing. There were A LOT of misnamed songs back then on Napster, Kazaa and similiar file-sharing networks. This song has been misnamed/credited since at least 2005...labelled as shpongle back then. Great tune. The name artist probably isnt worth getting up in arms about, especially 13 years later.
It is worth it because Infected Mushroom is awesome too. I wouldn't have found Shpongle if I hadn't found Infected Mushroom which taught me to be more open to the kinds of music I listened to.
