      I said this exact same thing and I’m from America. My husband is born and raised Jamaican but he doesn’t speak in his Native tongue unless he’s speaking to his family and I’ve always had an issue with that. It’s not like I wouldn’t understand and if there’s something he’d say and i didn’t understand, he could just clarify it. I’m from Louisiana and I speak in my accent for the most part unless someone doesn’t understand and then I’d speak a bit clearer. I love love love different accents! I do like that about Spice, however, I don’t like the fact that she’s pushing this whole Black hypocrisy thing and being yourself, yet she looks like everyone else with the colored hair and tight clothes to fit in...maybe I’m wrong 😩 I want to see her how she was before...that’s just my opinion though 🤷🏽‍♀️

    • @Ginmahoh4
      @Ginmahoh4 Před 5 lety +22

      I think she understands that racism exists. I believe her frustration is that while we struggle to control the actions of others and continue to petition for equality we have the ability to control our own actions and don't. How can we combat racism if we can't stand together unified? I understand the history of colorism and I'm sure Spice does as well, but at some point we have to be accountable and do better for ourselves as we push for others to be accountable and do better by us. imo

Hell we see it happening everyday of all the brothers who rather wife anything but black or she has to be light skin! That’s what she’s referring too in so many words but in form of her culture and in the industry
