I really loved the first set (I've even reviewed a few of the titles), but I've yet to pick up Volume 2 and beyond. This set looks great as well!

I would say this piqued my interest in terms of films in this volume, since I haven’t bought any of them as of yet. I heard this maybe the last set Shout is gonna do for a while.
Would you say this is the best collection of movies from 1 to 4? I already have ti lung and chiang and both shawscopes. Looking to get this due to the movies on it being well regarded.
I think maybe Vol 3 is the best, but this set definitely goes hard.

Can you please make a video to introduce good German releases? I have watched many of these movies in English as an adult, but I am more nostalgic with the German dub (in my opinion they were also funnier, as they put words into the actors mouth that were just brilliant) - The biggest example for me was Monkey KungFu.
I’m only aware of some newer titles or the Girls With Guns film. I’ll ask my friends that have some of these classics in German.

@@johnnyirish9852a German company called Koch Media released a bunch of Shaw brothers films on Blu-ray, all of them have German dub tracks. Some of their titles include - Proud Twins, Rebel intruders, Shaolin daredevils, 14 Amazons and many others. You need a region free blu ray player though.
Did they do the SDH subtitles again?? Did the lock the language tracks and subtitles again? I can't believe how badly they screwed up these box sets.
There are no SDH subtitles, but the language tracks do have specific subs. English has dubtitles and Mandarin/Cantonese has its own subtitles.
Thats good to hear, vol 3 has SDH dubtitles as the only option, frustrating 🤬
My box arrived this morning (I live in Scotland so it takes longer to get here) and just stuck on Rebel intruders. The picture quality isn't great, looks like there is color overload and it's too dark in places. I have tinkered with my settings, which I don't often have to do.
I have a German blu ray released by Black Hill pictures/Koch Media and the picture quality seems better.
I know this is a small gripe but I will be keeping both copies. Also another moan (that I can't seem to work out a way round) I can't seem to watch any film in any of the Shout sets with commentary tracks and subtitles at the same time, which is annoying as often people make references to the dialogue.
I must sound like I am a right moaner, ha ha!
That might be a limitation of playing from the disc, which is really dumb, haha. I make back-ups of the films so that I can not only watch them on any device in my house but so that I can capture clips for videos such as this. With that, I can put the subtitles on while listening to commentary tracks. Have you tried changing the subtitle option with your remote while the film is playing?
@@KingSigy no I haven't! I will later. I love the Shout sets but the quality of transfer in the 4th volume seems way below par. I checked the German blu ray of Rebel intruders and it's way better quality.

@@KingSigy they are the only label to have released Daredevils as well. None of the German releases have English dubs by the way, not that bothers me but I know some folk prefer. It could well be a new scan, I only know enough German to know how to get subtitles up, oh and to get into a fight!
Hey man, I know I have commented on this upload before but... I am well into this box now, I have seen most of the 12 films, is it me or is the print quality really terrible on certain films? Sword stained with royal blood looks awful, washed out, same with Shaolin intruders as well. Rebel intruders looks colour saturated, Masked avengers doesn't look as good as the 88 films print. For me it's a real dip in quality from Shout. A wee bit disappointed with this box.
