20 years have passed since Sunnydale was destroyed. Buffy Summers and her friends have spent the last decade living in peace. An ancient prophecy foresaw a powerful slayer who would defy death and tip the scales of good and evil forever. In anticipation of this a plan was put into motion long ago to use her calling against her - a brainwashed army of slayers have one goal - to eliminate Buffy Summers. With the first evil back in action, a resurrected master and a hell god bent on revenge, Buffy, Faith and the rest of the scoobies must work together to stop armageddon and save the world from being swallowed by evil.

Hollywood today doesn't have the brain power to continue Buffy without causing a scandal.

damn. What an amazing job. Adding those scenes from other shows and stuff together to make it really look like buffy has to fight the ultimate battle, that's a work of art and genius. The only thing that would make it better is if this was actually a real trailer. that would be epic.
This is the best concept trailer I've ever seen. I've seen some good and bad. Buffyverse and non-Buffyverse. This is my favorite.
You did a fantastic job with the way you cut the new footage from other shows and movies. Looks legit. Thanks for making it, it was fun to watch.

That is a pretty awesome concept no doubt, I have pretty much zero faith in Hollywood being able to deliver on a Show life Buffy at this day and age though.
I thought about a potential revival several times. In my head, what with what happened in Sunnydale and Buffy powering up all potential Slayers everywhere, along with what happen in LA with Angel, The Powers That Be would've hit a "reset", turning back reality before Earth got turned into an infernal warzone.
I can only wish for this to happen!! I am literally obsessed with Buffy, Angel and Spike!!! I like be this program!

They can totally revive this show now. There's lots of interest, Sarah is back filming kickass genre stuff, and with deepfake tech they can even have Spike and Angel looking as young as they looked back then (and they could make them human later in the show, they can totally figure it out and explain why they look older, if they can't afford the tech for the entire show lol).

They could create a new story for Buffy and Angel to meet and finally be together. Alright, they're with other people, but their love is epic, a soul love, and connection, it never dies, it can last however long. They belong together.
But in season 2 of angel Darla becomes pregnant with Angels baby Connor I don't think him and Buffy have a future together just their friendship for one another still remains strong
@@stevemarks4724 I understand your point, Buffy got Parker, Riley and Spike. And Angel Kate, Darla, Cordelia among others. But what he has with Buffy nothing compares, the last season of Buffy the seventh, he kisses her, and Buffy says: that he thinks ahead, but it would take years. Angel: responds: I'm not getting old. In other words, their future is open. They are an epic couple, nothing will change that.
@@melisabrustello181 I'm sorry, but Buffy and Angel are done and they were done a long time ago. The future itself proves it. If you haven't heard, the series continued in comics form up to season 12. It's canon. And in the future, Buffy is finally given the chance to be with Angel... and she PASSES. She starts going out with Spike and they end up in a serious, healthy 2-yr relationship, which ends up being Buffy's best (and final in the franchise). As for Angel, he moved on to Illyria and it's implied that he ends up with her.
You see, Buffy has already chosen someone over Angel. Spike. She even started imagining herself having children with Spike and growing old with him. She doesn't see herself doing those things with Angel anymore.
Buffy may have kissed Angel in S7 but then it cooled off quickly and she returned to cuddle with Spike. She didn't even tell Angel that she loves him even though she knew this could be the last time they see each other. If that's what true love looks like then I feel sorry for Angel...
The whole cookie dough speech only means Buffy wasn't ready to decide on anything yet. The door was open to literally anybody in the world, not just to Angel. But like I said, in the future she chose Spike anyway. And then she left the door open to Spike (and only to Spike) when they break up between S11 and 12 (for no apparent reason), saying they could get back together again "anytime in the future." She made no such statement to Angel.
Buffy and Angel were together AGES ago, when she was in high school. A kid. Expect things to change. In S12 Buffy is in her late 30s and there's no sign that the door that she left for Angel (+the rest of the world) is still open. Or that they're even INTERESTED in getting back together. None. On the contrary, they've only been growing farther and farther apart since S3, maybe because once apart they became happier and started growing as people. Nothing compares to THAT?
Your opinion is your opinion and that's fine. But there's no actual evidence to support it, is what I'm saying. Let me add a few selected quotes to support my initial claim:
First, Joss stating that the scene from S7 was fanservice and didn't mean anything:
"This exit for Angel was meant to mirror his first exit. Something hopefully iconic enough, and something to give people hope that Buffy & Angel might one day work out. Because some fans - now, I realize not many, but there were a few fans who feel that the Buffy/Angel romance was, like, a big deal. That vocal minority meant that we had to do service by them... But Spike is the person in her life right now."
Another Joss:
"There's no way. Buffy and Angel physically could not exist. If they were on the same network, we would have done the Buffy/Spike thing anyway. It became difficult in the third year to truly bring change to Buffy & Angel.”
David Greenwalt:
“Angel and Buffy have both moved on. Angel realizes this season that he had moved on from Buffy before she died. It’s only natural. It was a first love and that’s where it will remain.”
With that said, for the sake of argument, what makes you think Buffy and Angel belong together other than "I just feel like they do?" Is it more than just false hope? What's your evidence?
@@moonystic9417 OK. Beautiful speech, and reasoning.Nothing prevents that new series or buffy movie, can put Angel and Buffy together again. I respect your opinion, but I have another view. And nothing wrong with that. Thanks for the comment. :)
@@melisabrustello181 Actually, a lot prevents that. The "best" we might get is a reboot with a whole new cast (which I SO don't want). But even if that wasn't the case, I could list all the reasons why they wouldn't put Bangel together again either way and why, if anything, they'd put Spuffy. Based on facts.
Your head canon is your head canon. To each their own. But your wish has already come true: They DID create a continuation to the show where Buffy and Angel meet again... except it didn't turn out the way you expected. Buffy has made the decision to not be with Angel and that hasn't changed by the end of it. That's the REAL canon.
All I'm saying is, *realistically* there's 0 chance it'd go the route of a Buffy/Angel ending. The writers have been dangling that carrot in front of the Bangel fans for that reason exactly. To give you false hope.
You're more than welcome to share why you think Buffy and Angle belong together, though. I'm genuinely curious.
EDIT to add:
If you're interested, there's also a comic book titled The Last Slayer. It's set in the future, when Buffy is in her 50s. It's NOT canon, but in it we find out that at some point Buffy married Angel (they're not married anymore, but I won't spoil the rest). A month or two ago they also released a continuation comics to it.
While we're at it, I highly recommend that you check out the canon comics. Starting S9 it's actually pretty good. Also, there's Bangel sex in S8.

Would be great, but sadly SMG has made it very clear she's done with Buffy. Plus I don't imagine any of the other cast would return w out her. Any chances of a 90s Buffy return are probably dead.

I don't blame her, as iconic as Buffy is, the work environment for those kids around Joss was toxic AF, and he would probably be involved with anything Buffy related csuse they fucked up his movie thats why he made the tv series, so it would most probs be very triggering for her. @@rue...whenwasthis Thanks, I'm aware, I think I already read an article where she talks about it. She said she never even watched seasons 6-7 because of her trauma, but didn't go into detail. Wouldn't. But people do change their mind sometimes, so you never know. Joss wouldn't be involved either way, he ruined his own career. I honestly hope they don't touch the franchise at all, they're just gonna ruin it. Good writing and acting is something they put in the back seat these days. It's all about cheap thrills. But maybe if they got the other original writers on board, they don't really need Joss. Anyway, if the original cast isn't involved I'm out.

Joss wasn't as involved in Buffy/Angel as you think. He came up with ideas and characters, putting a lot of development into them for the first couple seasons. But Joss was constantly moving to his newest project and leaving the other writers to pick up the slack. He actually only wrote 23 episodes (which is barely a full season.)
Marti Noxon, Jane Espenson, David Fury, David Greenwalt, and Douglas Petrie all have 10+ episodes and we have another 7 writers who did 5+ episodes.

All good things, it's needs to be left alone. What's wrong with the world today is people don't want to be ok with starts, middles, and ends and that most sloppy prequels and sequels are based on commerce not based on good story telling.

If they reboot it, the original cast should play the parts, especially the part of Buffy which certainly be done by Sarah Michelle.
Reference the talk of changing the look of the Buffy character if a different person played her. Note: The character of Buffy has always been blond hair and blue eyes since the original movie came out. Chaning that would ruin any chance of a reboot being successful. I wouldn't watch it if they changed the look of Buffy.
