Made up some mixed berry (3 bottles) and some mango (1 bottle) 3 weeks ago according to your instructions. Going to check on it next week.
Oh and for "us" Europeans, a cup of sugar is 200 grams😊❤.
    Love your wine recipe PawPaw.

Yay, it's done! And it turned out absolutely fantastic. The mixed berry juice wine tastes similar to mulled wine we have for Christmas in Germany. And the mango came out great as well, but mixed with a bit of sparkling water makes a wonderful refreshing drink. Thank you PawPaw!
All it takes is to follow your instructions 🙏🙏🙏🥰

Thanks for the reminder, PawPaw!! I have two bottles of grape juice in the pantry right now with this specific use in mind. Just gotta get it mixed up. Have tried lots of different kinds of juices but so far, I like just good ol' purple grape juice wine the best. I do let the sugar "heap" a little when measuring, though, because I like it a bit sweeter. Appreciate ya, my friend!

Homemade wine is pretty hard to screw up. I was doing 2 new and one attempt at reusing must (experimental)-and well I got distracted by some deliveries and lost my way with amounts. So, some got more yeast, some not enough sugar-some got less yeast and lots more sugar. In the end, they all came out tasting fine, some just had more sediment and some took longer. Good fun-thanks for the videos!

I made my first batch using grape juice. Followed the recipe not quite exactly, transfered all the juice into a 1 gallon Jug. Melted 2 cups sugar in about 1 qt of water. Added that plus 1/2 tsp of yeast. Net result was a little over 3/4 of gallon. OMG, after 24 days in a constant 70ish degree in my basement, darn good tasting wine in my view. Not to dry or sweet. Pretty good kick to it! Transferred out of the primary fermentation jug into another 1 gallon jug, will bottle in another week or so. First time I ever made wine and the wife said she likes it, and it is strong.

You make wine basicly the same way my grandpa taught me many moons ago. Only difference we had fruit trees, apples, cherries, and we would pick elderberries, black berries, huckleberries, muscadines, and squish them good and use that instead of store bought juice but, I have done it exactly like you are here myself. The nay sayers out there, well try it before you knock it. The cherry was alwas saved till Christmas, Paw paw, I know you've heard of "cherry bounce" 😃. He did a lil something different to it, because it was for a special day Christmas, our Saviors birthday. God bless.

I made my first batch starting August 1st. I started with 8 juice bottles of juice. I still have some in the late secondary fermentation. My temperature was a little low. The bottles got very clear in weeks 6-7.

Oh I do have to add that waiting as long as I did with some makes for a dryer wine and not as sweet. it does take away from the fruit flavor but as I believe Paw paw said in a previous video, you can back sweeten it to taste. It brings the fruit flavor back.

So glad I found your channel. Got my first batch cooking. I put it in an empty file cabinet drawer that I put some insulation board in. I have it sitting on a heating pad. The drawer is open about a 1/2 inch for ventilation. So far my brew is cooking just fine. Can't wait to sample it. Thanks for your information.

1 more new subscriber! Love your videos. I'm slightly more snobbish, I use airlocks and "fancy" yeast (although it's really only $1.50 per packet). Great hobby and its always fun to bring to parties. Thank you for your service and God Bless your whole family!

I don't have anything against experienced wine makers doing their own thing. I just try to keep with my DoingItCheap methods. My method is just an intro into the winemaking world. It is a confidence booster and meant to take away the fear factor.
