I don't think super mach tornado would have to be animated. I think it would be kinda like ken's (not close range one) in a sense. Seems like a pretty reasonable change as well.
A bit of serious talk here, I kinda want there to be an update where mewtwo gets to have two final smashes like ryu and ken. Far range will be the regular mewtwo y and close range could be mewtwo x with a flurry of punches.
Or throwing a very large projectile at the world that seemingly blows up a huge chunk of it, and yet somehow it only is the size of the tiny arena you're in. Sephiroth had this problem as well lol
@@LtCdrXander Sephiroth's Supernova doesn't actually happen if you understand what I mean. The cinematic is like a metaphor to the move's power in a sense. This is because if Supernova actually worked like it did in the cinematic well then there would be two big contradictions. The first being how can he blow up the same planet multiple times and the second being why didn't he just use Supernova to scar Earth instead of Meteor? What Supernova shows doesn't techinally actually happen. Besides Sephiroth though there's no other final smashes that blow up a chunk of the planet. The closest one is the Star Fox characters but even then I always viewed it as them shooting explosives at the opponent in space especially because the initial hit launches them upwards.

And made Kazuya's devil form transformation for a few seconds (like in Corrin's final smash) since his final smash was just like R.O.B.'s final smash in Smash 4 but as a trapping type.

@@AlonzoTompkins Not quite. The Rage Art that Kazuya's Final Smash is based on opens with a dashing punch, not a laser blast, and all the lasers arc around and converge to make a huge explosion on the point of impact.
Ngl, some of the characters final smash alternatives undermines a lot of the series they are from and only focuses on just one aspect about the game or the character that is either a fan favorite thing of the series or something super recent that at times doesn’t match their character of what they would do in the setting. For example on the first one Steve’s alternate final smash being creative mode which wouldn’t make really be good cause creative mode would be something more for for the previous final smashes of brawl and smash 4 being transformation final smashes that are drawn out, and another example would be Giga cat Mario, I’m not including the bowser part for it since it could just be a reskin, as far the Mario cat part, that is super recent and what makes that power up memorable isn’t what it is but what it is used for which is taking down fury bowser. Another note, this one being for Dark samus would be the Phazon corruption which was something that is in Metroid prime 3 to essentially be a thing to make the player prevent the revival or take over of Dark Samus, so this would mean that every smash character would have the phazon in them already which again wouldn’t make much sense. But that’s just about it, the other things seem nice enough. Except for the Mr.L final smash for Luigi since that’s a paper Mario exclusive and it doesn’t highlight Luigi’s own series Luigi’s mansion. But that’s about it for real, that’s my thoughts on it and it’s my opinion I don’t mean anything offensive by it at all. Just found it weird and some of these final smash alternatives wouldn’t make sense.
@@BloodEevee I agree on that, as cool as Triforce slash is, Young link is seen as the “Ocarina of time/Majora’s mask link. So if anything they should keep the Triforce slash for him but upgrade it that he turns into fierce deity and when he does the final slash at the end of it he does the downward slash that he did to the moon.
With all those tnts it can crash Smash Bros! Also a fun fact: Steve's final smash is a recording from the game (idk if it's from Mojang or Sakurai himself) and you can spot lag spikes on there too!
To be honest, I always thought of Steve final Smash was him just using a trap he created in Creative Mode. Like, look at all those TNT blocks and mobs, it's obviously made in creative mode

@@Gamilieee because every final smash would be the same thing, and they'd all be cutscene ones, as opposed to those like Mario's, Bowser's, Lucario's, Ness', etc. who don't trap and enter a cutscene. Those ones are better for applying pressure, but they can kill too. Still, there would be no variety in the function or look of the final smashes if they were all trapping/cutscene ones.

Imma just say this. Most of these won't really work or isn't the right move. I do agree that a few would be better changed (dark pit, daisy, dark samus), but some "better final smashes" are meaningless and pointless. The main thing for final smashes are just like Sakurai himself said, quick and straight to the point.

Really late to this but BRAWL IKE FINAL SMASH? LIKE COULD YOU IMAGINE HOW BROKEN THAT WOULD BE IN ULTIMATE, Also I feel like transformation final smashes had their run of about 10 years it was probably best to move away from them....I can imagine all the broken transformations already 😢
I heavily agree with that Pit Final Smash change. In the main game, it's canon that Dark Pit joined with the forces of nature and took the Lightning Chariot...you'd think Dark Pit would use it lmao Plus, Pit using the Great Sacred Treasure would be cool. It'd probably have the same controls as the Lightning Chariot, but it'd send blasts at the opponent instead of one hard hit. Man, I REALLY want that now lmao
I remember someone coming up with this idea that could allow both the cinematic final smashes we have now and the transformation final smashes in previous game. Basically, if you use a final smash through the smash meter you’d use a simpler cinematic final smash, nothing crazy, just a good burst of damage that can secure you some KOs. If you use a final smash through a smash ball you’d use a far more destructive final smash, stuff like a transformation or Zelda’s and Peach’s op final smashes that could really shake things up. This could also make the smash meter fairer since everyone would have a similar “small final smash” that all do the same thing, and could make the smash ball even more coveted and make free for all’s even more hectic even with the smash meter on.
For Toon Link, I def would’ve gone for the Ganon finisher…god that was cool. And Joker‘s is fine, all out attack is always satisfying. And Robin Definitely needed some love…
I really miss transformation final smashes. And I think it would've been cool if Steve had a transformation final smash where he goes into creative mode and has infinite resources, is invincible, and can fly for a short amount of time.
I think All-Out Attack for Joker can stay. It's such a cool & flashy Final Smash, it stays on his card if you KO the opponent on their last stock with over 100% damage. Young Link can still transform into Fierce Deity and still use Triforce Slash. That was referenced in his special attacks in the original Hyrule Warriors. Or for his ultimate attack, the Skull Kid will show up to drop The Moon, and Fierce Deity Link can cut through & bisect it, and the split Moon will deal a lot of damage to all opponents within range. Chrom's Final Smash being Awakening Aether makes sense since Marth, Lucina and Roy already use Critical Hit, and Roy's version is just a unique version where he stands in place instead of lunging forward. I can see Kirby using Hypernova, or the Robobot Mechs. Given that Kazuya is now in Smash, Mewtwo turning into Shadow Mewtwo would be pretty cool. But Mega Evolving into Mega Mewtwo Y and using Psystrike is supposed to be his signature move since X & Y. Pit should've used the Great Sacred Treasure's cannon like in the final boss of Uprising, but maybe it might've been seen as a copy-paste of Zero-Suit Samus' Final Smash being Gunship Zero Lazer. Dark Pit on the other hand is the one who inherited the Lightning Chariot. Viridi is the one who owns it now since the end of Uprising and Smash 4 as it was revealed in Palutena's Guidance on Dark Pit.

Inkling's final smash has to be her turning into Inner Agent 3, though Hero Mode Agent 4 from Splatoon 2 with the Rainmaker is still a pretty good alternative.
Sure, but you have to understand that Final Smash must be iconic for the character: example, you can't just chose Giga Cat Mario or Fury Bowser just because of the hype for Bowser's Fury. With the fire flower being the (second) most iconic Mario power up, it makes sense that Mario's FS is a fire wave, and it make sense, for the many times he used it, that Bowser would use his giant form. Sure, it's not an obbligation, but I should remind you that it should be very iconic and not just a one-off move used in a recent game.
For Mario, you could've make it cinematic, starts by throwing Cappy. And then he do the Mega Fireball (I don't remember the exact name, so please don't blame me) with Geno beside him in the cinematic (could also have 1 more guy, don't know who, I don't play Legend Of The Seven Stars).
I would at least want it to be faithful if Charizard Mega evolves by the trainer saying: "Respond to my heart and Mega Evolve!" The only problem I see with this is that it'll sound cringy on Red because of his Smash voice 😬 but It'll at least sound good on Green.

For example on the first one Steve’s alternate final smash being creative mode which wouldn’t make really be good cause creative mode would be something more for for the previous final smashes of brawl and smash 4 being transformation final smashes that are drawn out, and another example would be Giga cat Mario, I’m not including the bowser part for it since it could just be a reskin, as far the Mario cat part, that is super recent and what makes that power up memorable isn’t what it is but what it is used for which is taking down fury bowser. Another note, this one being for Dark samus would be the Phazon corruption which was something that is in Metroid prime 3 to essentially be a thing to make the player prevent the revival or take over of Dark Samus, so this would mean that every smash character would have the phazon in them already which again wouldn’t make much sense. But that’s just about it, the other things seem nice enough. Except for the Mr.L final smash for Luigi since that’s a paper Mario exclusive and it doesn’t highlight Luigi’s own series Luigi’s mansion. But that’s about it for real, that’s my thoughts on it and it’s my opinion I don’t mean anything offensive by it at all. Just found it weird and some of these final smash alternatives wouldn’t make sense.
For Steve they could do basically anything. But with his final smash, they could just speed up his final Smash and make it non controllable.

So if anything they should keep the Triforce slash for him but upgrade it that he turns into fierce deity and when he does the final slash at the end of it he does the downward slash that he did to the moon.

Those ones are better for applying pressure, but they can kill too. Still, there would be no variety in the function or look of the final smashes if they were all trapping/cutscene ones.

kirby: robobot(what he should've had instead as modern kirby outside spirits is badly represented/should've cut great cave offensive with a recent game or 64 stage.)
donkey kong:moon punch/actually bring the bongos but as an actual rhythm game where if you do well enough donkey kong at the end will be motivated to beat up the opponent and even ko at 0% if you perfect it.
princess daisy:should've emphasized her sports gear/flowers more considering strikers was her trophy in brawl.

Imma just say this. Most of these won't really work or isn't the right move. I do agree that a few would be better changed (dark pit, daisy, dark samus), but some "better final smashes" are meaningless and pointless. The main thing for final smashes are just like Sakurai himself said, quick and straight to the point.

Watching your idea for Steve's final smash and thought we'll that's interesting way to some landscaping
I remember someone coming up with this idea that could allow both the cinematic final smashes we have now and the transformation final smashes in previous game. Basically, if you use a final smash through the smash meter you’d use a simpler cinematic final smash, nothing crazy, just a good burst of damage that can secure you some KOs. If you use a final smash through a smash ball you’d use a far more destructive final smash, stuff like a transformation or Zelda’s and Peach’s op final smashes that could really shake things up. This could also make the smash meter fairer since everyone would have a similar “small final smash” that all do the same thing, and could make the smash ball even more coveted and make free for all’s even more hectic even with the smash meter on.
For Toon Link, I def would’ve gone for the Ganon finisher…god that was cool. And Joker‘s is fine, all out attack is always satisfying. And Robin Definitely needed some love…

I think All-Out Attack for Joker can stay. It's such a cool & flashy Final Smash, it stays on his card if you KO the opponent on their last stock with over 100% damage.
Young Link can still transform into Fierce Deity and still use Triforce Slash. That was referenced in his special attacks in the original Hyrule Warriors. Or for his ultimate attack, the Skull Kid will show up to drop The Moon, and Fierce Deity Link can cut through & bisect it, and the split Moon will deal a lot of damage to all opponents within range.
Chrom's Final Smash being Awakening Aether makes sense since Marth, Lucina and Roy already use Critical Hit, and Roy's version is just a unique version where he stands in place instead of lunging forward.
I can see Kirby using Hypernova, or the Robobot Mechs.
Given that Kazuya is now in Smash, Mewtwo turning into Shadow Mewtwo would be pretty cool. But Mega Evolving into Mega Mewtwo Y and using Psystrike is supposed to be his signature move since X & Y.
Pit should've used the Great Sacred Treasure's cannon like in the final boss of Uprising, but maybe it might've been seen as a copy-paste of Zero-Suit Samus' Final Smash being Gunship Zero Lazer.
Dark Pit on the other hand is the one who inherited the Lightning Chariot. Viridi is the one who owns it now since the end of Uprising and Smash 4 as it was revealed in Palutena's Guidance on Dark Pit.

Sure, but you have to understand that Final Smash must be iconic for the character: example, you can't just chose Giga Cat Mario or Fury Bowser just because of the hype for Bowser's Fury. With the fire flower being the (second) most iconic Mario power up, it makes sense that Mario's FS is a fire wave, and it make sense, for the many times he used it, that Bowser would use his giant form. Sure, it's not an obbligation, but I should remind you that it should be very iconic and not just a one-off move used in a recent game.
