    Beautiful watch.. honestly can't understand how Breitling created that new SuperOcean.. The one you have has genuine personality.. the new ones look like from a microbrand

    I must admit, this video helped me pull the trigger on this watch! I was looking at the white 42 but the way you described this timepiece, just made me dive right in (no pun intended). I'm waiting for my watch to be delivered to the Breitling King of Prussia boutique because they were sold out when I went to go get it. I think I've watched this video 12 times start to finish since I've ordered it and will probably watch it a couple more times over the weekend! Great review and keep up the good work!

      I hope you're enjoying this beautiful piece! I know I am! The blue on this dial, the beautiful light play on the AR coating with the blue hue, and the ridiculous lume always bring a smile to my face.

    The super ocean 42 with white dial and blue bezel is my grail watch. Currently saving for it and hopefully it will be on wrist in about 2 years time. Great video!

    I have the Superocean II 44mm with blue dial and bezel I love it it's pretty much my daily driver. I bought it with a blue rubber dive strap but I then bought the correct genuine steel bracelet for it.

    Thanks to your vid ended up going with one in Tokyo. They had a limited run of this for Japan of 300 units. The most noticeable feature is the yellow on the second hand. Very cool.

    My biggest issue with these new SOs is that Breitling has somehow figured out a way to drive me crazy in picking the one I want the most! I have 3 Breitlings so far and have a feeling I won't be adding just 1 of these new SOs! Thanks a lot Brietling! Great video by the way!

    Don’t understand what Breitling was thinking with the new model! Should have added that as a Heritage piece next to SOH2. This watch with current SO Clasp and Ceramic bezel would have been perfection!

    Excellent review thanks (just subbed), and I share your sentiments about this watch. I've owned the white dial on rubber, then sold it to buy the black dial SO on bracelet. I've owned it for 6 months now, but it gets more and more wrist time against my other watches. The dial really pops with the AR coating, the enlarged arabics and chunky handset give it a really eye catching look. There are a few areas where they could improve it further. 1) The date wheel is not colour matched to the dial - not an issue with the white dial version. 2) I have to push down quite hard to lock my clasp in place, but probably just an issue with my particular watch. 3) The presentation box is a bit underwhelming for a luxury watch, but I can live with that :) I don't really mind the shortish power reserve as I wear as part of a rotation. I'm considering adding another to my collection, either the blue or the orange.

    • @WatchClicker
      @WatchClicker  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for watching and subscribing! The AR coating on these is nuts and it really does make the dial pop…there’s nothing distracting you

    • @Baqization
      @Baqization Před 2 lety

      I think the white date window looks way better on this watch (and the Black one) than it would in watching colors. It balances the dial nicely with the 9 o clock index number. Otherwise it would be a big "empty" space.

    I picked up this new version of the Superocean, in black, when it first came out to finally replace my vintage Sub. This new Superocean was actually available to purchase, has a more reasonable price than the Sub, and in my opinion has a totally cool design. I would have preferred an in-house movement like in the Superocean Heritage, but I chose the more modern case design of this watch. Anyway, the movement is still a certified chronometer.

    They squeeze the 500m rating into a 13.3mm case by keeping the reserve time at the base 38hrs. No space for a larger main spring needed in there.

    • @WatchClicker
      @WatchClicker  Před 2 lety

      It's funny too because neither the huge WR rating or power reserve matter to me haha. Cut it down to 200 meters and make it thinner!

    • @rossdev
      @rossdev Před 2 lety +1

      Avenger 43 is a bit longer on the lug to lug, but if you have a larger wrist go for it. The SO 42 actually wears quite small as the watch face itself is only 30mm or so.
