    This is how it's done properly! Well done.
    Good advice could be a "Soft Cap" (Banana) from Montana Colors. Very smooth spray.

    Esto es lo que estaba buscando, exactamente. Pudiste haber cubierto la parte del marco que no era necesario pintar, pero igual, super bien.

    So, a spray can or touch up paint will get out the scratches after it's been buffed.

    Hi just wanted to know how you found the colour code of the frame , I"m restoring a 1953 Schwinn very similar blue.

    • @SephGarreffa

      Sometimes is very hard to find the right color code. You should find the most professional paint seller and show him the frame hoping to find a match. But remember that sometimes the color fade so can be different from the original color. Also google or forums can help you to identify the color code. My bike were custom painted by me a few months ago (it was one of my projects during our italian quarantine), when i was painting the bike i used a special paint made for the spray gun, so basically i already had the code on my paint can, but otherwise i was lucky enough to find the same paint in the format of spray can. And that made everything easy and also a lot cheaper. Feel free to ask anything, if i can help will be a pleasure. Also if you need help to find the code i can try some research but you had to send me some photos or you can tag me on Instagram by adding into the pic description @redcrow.seph

    Is the color code on every bike?

    • @SephGarreffa
      @SephGarreffa  Před 4 lety +1

      You can find the right color by using the car's paint color chart (you can find the catalogue at any professional paint store). But the most easy way is to ask directly into any paint store as I did a few times. Mostly they can help you even whitout checking the chart, in the video I had the code simple because it was written into the tin container and I found a spray can with the same label. I hope you understand what I said, have a good day 😊

      @@SephGarreffa I don't understand, sorry. Car paints might have a code, but bike paint does not, that I have ever seen! So how did you get the code for your bike's colour? You say you had it on a "tin container" but where did you get that?

    • @SephGarreffa
      @SephGarreffa  Před 3 lety +2

      @@benfsinger Hi thanks for commenting my video., You right... I did not explained in good way. Basically every color can be identified as a code. You can find the right color in any paint store , not matter how rare the color is. In my case i was lucky enought to find a perfect color into a spray can , otherwise i had to ask to the paint store to prepare the right color based on my request but that will be a lot more expensive since the "custom paint" require catalyst and thinner . If you need help you can find some colors (and relatives codes) by using google , and then is an easy way to buy online or from any store. But you need to be carefull since from a monitor colors looks a bit different. I hope you understand my english , if not dont esitate to ask. Have a nice day

    • @SephGarreffa
      @SephGarreffa  Před 3 lety +2

      Umh... Good question but i forgot the numbers (maybe 120 & 1400)... , usually i use a thick one for remove more paint as possible and then the most thin for making the base coat more smoth before using the other. Obliviously you must work very slow and be carefull even with the thin one. Have a great day, if you need more information feel free to ask.

      Give me one Cannondale color code. How about Surly. Soma. Schwinn. You can't because they don't exist. You had a match because you painted the bike yourself. MFR's don't give you color codes of factory finishes.

    • @SephGarreffa
      @SephGarreffa  Před 3 lety +4

      Yes i do. I find easy a match because I had the color code on paper but if you don't know it, just go into any paint store and show them the frame and trust me they can made anything... one day a saw the paint seller finding the exactly color of an old car just by mixing some colors by hand whiteout any instructions. Btw an example of one color used by Cannondale is the 84BD00 , but if you check the color appears like pastel. Cannondale instead of the pastel use the metallic type (basically a metal primer under the light shades of color). Is that enought?

      Sure you can ask whatever you want. For a bended spoke is better to replace it. But if you don't have done already is better to talk with a mechanic, changing a single spoke os not difficult but the other spokes should be cheecked as well and i case adjusted the tension.
