Easily one of the best theater experiences for an anime movie I've ever saw. People were losing their shit when Deku passed OFA to Bakugo and crying.
BEST movie experience EVER in a theater!!! The whole crowd was screaming and in awwwww.
My whole theater was silent, up until their hands grasped, then everyone screamed, and then went silent with tears as the battle concluded and the song rung through the theater.
This movie did a great job making the antagonist feel unstoppable.
Fun fat: This movie was based on Horikoshi original concept of ending BNHA. There's also a 2 chapter background story on it too.
I love how Shigaraki ended Nine in the end, reminding him who's the main antagonist around here
I found myself on a same thought. Something like: "they wanted to animate fight against all for one so bad, they ended up making their own all for one to fight". And after rewatching, well... I don't know if the final fight we got now is better than this.

This is the Pinacle of Animation, what every studio should be inspired by. I can define this movie's animation in two words, Passion and Talent.
That "Sayonara, One For All" hits different, and the manga is about to end 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
That last fight with Deku and Bakugo is still one of my favorite animated fight scenes. The details, the choreography, THE MUSIC! I love how their instances that give tge impression of just how much power these two are outputing, like all of Deku's electricity covering him as he spins like a maniac, drilling through 9's barriers, or Bakugo going Sakazuki below ground! This is what superheroes are all about! Overcoming the odds and saving the day!
Everyone in the class having their moments, the OST, the backdrop, the animation, the voice acting (sub and dub), having just sombre music over the last bit of action, Bakugo lightening up. All of it, chef's kiss
I saw this in theaters. Literally transcended my body and reached a higher form of existence during that final fight.
This is 100% one of the best anime shonen films, we need more MHA content bro
the fact that the final fight was animated by one person (yutaka nakamura, yes he also worked on mob psycho) blows my mind so hard.

honestly when i first watched mha, this was when i started to understand bakugou and deku’s bond… never understood them till i cried my eyes out at the one for all scene
44:12 thats because most of the best animated scenes in both shows/movie is done by the same guy. Yutaka Nakamura. my beloved. he has animated alot of the best scenes for most of the shows made from this studio.

Others have probably mentioned it in the comments already, but this movie was the original ending concept for MHA as a whole. Basically, swap out Nine with Shigaraki and/or All for One and replace the other minions with LoV members. The big difference is that it would presumably have ended with Shigaraki and AfO dead and Bakugo wielding One for All permanently. Horikoshi ultimately thought of something better and reserved this concept for the movie.
As an aside, there are now only five chapters of the manga left, with the series set to end with chapter 430 in August. That was only announced this week, so the epilogue is now officially in progress.
When i first watched this i cried so hard idk why, it was so beautiful, when bakugo couldn't even lift his hand, just pushing around his body with his leg, and the stone was melting smoothly damn
I have to admit that few things have reached the level of hype that is the final battle of this movie. It blows my mind every time.
Me and my cousin had the whole theatre to ourselves when this got released. Idk if nobody else was interested abt it but by far best cinema experience alongside the last two Avengers movie

This movie and dragon ball super broly are my two most favorite movies that I've seen in theaters, not just anime movies, just pure energy being released by the crowd during the fights

Nah (Japanese)sub is way fuking better. It's a pun in Japanese and got ruined in translation. The english dub doesn't exactly work around with another pun but they atleast make a cool line unlike the sub. Bakugo makes so much puns in Japanese and all that goes to waste in translation lol
@denji3397 the mis interpretation for the subs makes it suck imo some of the lines are so outfield it makes you go wtf with a confused face. At least dub can hold a conversation thats understandable
@@pieperson444 My Hero is one of those anime (like Dragon Ball, Death Note, FMA etc.) where I'd say the dub feels more definitive than the sub. You know a dub is iconic when most MHA clips on CZcams use dub as the default, or when the dub VAs are well-known and heavily involved with MHA-related stuff

I actually seen this in theaters before the shut down, hr and a half away, only theater playing it near me. Was hands down the best movie I have ever spent money on 🙌

This movie takes place after season 5 and what sucks is that the anime cut out the scenes connecting to the movie for some reason.
