HOW TO GET MAKE OPTION USABLE

OTHER OPTIONS ARE CLEAR SHOW & USABLE
I AM ALSO SELECTED OBJECT USING SELECT AUTOSELECT TOOL
Whenever I try this it copies my work in some random pattern completely ruining my design. It has worked before but what appears to be random in its reasoning it completely deformed the image.
I don’t know what's causing it. You can try uninstalling the software, clean all the junk files of that software from c drive. Then, restart the computer and then install the latest version of the software. I hope this will work.

2:18 doesnt work for me ? all the shape is black why ?
If you do everything as shown in the video then it shouldn't be black. Also, make sure you're selecting all the objects and select the right blend options before clicking on "Make".
After blending it turned into black why?
Your gpu may not be powerful enough to handle the task. Or, maybe it’s a software bug.
try removing the stroke in all shapes too
