Yes, batons are the 'sticks' they toss & catch. Larger than relay race batons so..hope that helped.
Cute kitty; looks just like my old boy Micky, found him as a kitten at McDonald's during a late lunch break from factory.

i heard American cop sticks sometimes called baton (looks like they notnused anymore while in old days up to late '90s it be very variativity of sticks, some large ones too).
I refer to russian słowo baton as a slang for... what we see on preview image. ;) since it is slavic i guess someone non-russian get it too.
