To be honest MBT saga was my favorite one. The bits were funny and they playing the craziest decks every week was really interesting for me to watch, the biggest shame of the season was MBT not getting a Utopia
Nobody is mad that Lab was target, in fact everyone was expecting that it would be ban to the ground.
The root of the complains is the way it got ban, the wild card ban was a flaw "new thing" from the get go. If you want to defend Gage or Doug does't matter, but the ban system was already figured out for 2 seasons now and it worked fine. Just give each player a additional ban/limit on the others and nothing of this would've happen.
mbt really does play up being the villain well on other people's channels. really cool to hear his perspective. great mindset
Honesty if they used their normal bans for the lab shit. Then the wild card on dpe and rextrem it wouldn't have felt as bullshit

Pretty sure the ban thing would never happen to MBT, because he would never get to the point of retrying over and over to high-roll. Finally succeeding and then get ganged up on immediately.
We need Gage to keep doing it or else we'll never see the high-roll packs.
the reason we are not playing any new strategies is simply that 10 pulls is just not enough. in the previous seasons we had 15 pulls and the extra 5 pulls do a lot.

The clip at the end wasn't them colluding for the wildcard bans. It was them discussing which card they would ban in the main banning, and they were each trying to argue for why their hit was better. I don't know why people think that clip is a smoking gun.

The only problem (which literally happens every time doug introduces a mechanic) is that the new mechanic never gets CLEARLY explained ahead of time, there's always clarification and everything after a problem or questions happen.
The bans were fine but the way they were presented made it seem like they were added to just target gage so people got all riled up

@@AlphaSquadZerowell, the Icarus attack does fuck it up, my thought was if clear wing, or the Harpie, if he can beat over clear wing with kongreat without the boost, would let him destroy both of Doug’s monsters. Obviously Doug does have Icarus attack, but I’m still thinking it would have been a better use of his imperm

Yeah, I felt like this was an over correction, too. Like, I imagine not banning out of existence a deck that has been performing really well. Week after week. Gage had even mentioned knowing his his deck would be hit badly by bans when he kept opening the Lab cards.
Then they should've hit lab with the normal bans. After watching todays episode, you can see how bad their decks really are after the wildcard bans.
They are on episode 13 and it feels like they are in week 2.
@Ind3xPlus I'm not really sure what to tell you, bro. Gage made himself a target, and it's not like the special bans were from out of nowhere. Saga pretty much always had some sort of twist to mix things up. It also doesn't seem like that big a deal to conspire with one another when Gage has tried to do the same thing earlier in the season.
Why the hell does only Dzeeff understand what the core problem is? It's not about the lab or the age of Gage, it's about an unbalanced ban.
That's why he decided not to unban Lab, but to give Gage more bans to ensure the game is fair. In this instance, Dzeeff knows the commenter is not just yapping, but actually giving constructive criticism. A little twist is absolutely fine, but the last twist has a big problem, and I'm glad Dzeeff acknowledged it.
@aciesara5444 You're coming off a little aggressive there, dude, but it's alright. I dont think it's as one-sided as you think it is. Gage chose to go into lab week after week, knowing he would get punished for it. I can understand your appeal for balance, but I honestly believe Gage caused the situation himself.
He had one lady one welcome, we're out here acting like he had a full competitive labyrinth list, if anything it was DPE that was the problem

i dont get why people are mad about it when gage go to the lab pack 3 times ( farfa going to sky striker pack 4 times is also stupid but got punished by having shit pull ) it was asking to be banned. also if it was not banned he would have a very powerful lab deck because there are almost no back row removal thanks to his mst limit and in a sealed format

The bans to Gage's deck were fine for sure. People are mostly mad because it made him lose the game after the ban list (which everyone was constantly telling him would happen if he kept going all in on Labrynth), and because it "felt unfair". Which doesn't really make sense, since the bans are there to try and cause variety in decks. If they didn't hit Gage as hard as they did, there wouldn't be.
The real problem though of why everyone keeps using the same decks, is because there's too few pulls. Literally every other episode at least one player (if not more) would have played a different deck they pulled for. But they were just a few cards too short. Like MBT said, 10 packs is just way too little.
I feel bad for Doug, but he really should've ignored all the babies. He gives in too easily.
At the very least, giving Gage 3 additional bans, one of which was a card that Doug pulled AFTER the banlist, is very overkill for no reason.

Nah it was justified, Doug received 2 fewer bans than Gage despite Doug being far in the lead. They should either receive the same number of bans or have some rubber-band balance

The Wildcard bans ended up eating too many of there playable strategies. That is why we have reverted to this state.
I'm excited to see MBT shit on Farfa again. I kinda call bullshit on Farfa not getting enough to use gagaga. He probably could have made something out of those pulls given it was the second time.
I just think the bonus bans didn’t need to happen. They should have just used the regular bans for Lab.

The 3v3 nature of this season kinda killed of my interest in it, the whole thing has just been messy in terms of rulings, banning and deck variety.
The reason I liked watching the series was due to the stupidity of seeing decks like Graydle, BA, Harpies and all the messes that Farfa, Doug and even MBT built using limited resources and their luck.
MBT already kinda made me weary of the previous season due to him having such a "meta" oriented mindset but atleast he was entertaining to watch when his plans works out or fail horrendously.
This season kind of just felt iffy since the only "comedy" that appears is misclicks and the 3 of them bullying each other which while funny the first time can't really carry me through watching the same combos over and over again.
I already fight against their decks every tiem I open up master duel so I can't really get excited over them unlike when I was discovering sgupod techs and interactions with MBT's run of Saga which carried me through the more boring parts of his run
Yeah, I think about halfway through the season I’d have to agree. This has been the most boring season in terms of deck comps. I like the free for all format, but if they’re going to have more bans, more packs would help for sure.
To this day I do not understand the appeal of Farfa as an entertainer.

I agree with the halfway point, at that point I think Doug was the only one making new decks cuz Farfa doesn't have a reason to try to build a new one due to the nature of Sky Striker and Mathmech and Gage's deck is just way too good to even think of just not building it up.

Most of the banned secret packs are pretty splash-able archetypes, yeah? Maybe limiting the more generic options makes it harder to enable some of the lower power level archetypes?
@@Rudepetsclub the main issue I feel is that iirc MD records your pulls so when you start pulling from the same packs or when you have a record of doing so the game would remove the "new player/fresh packs" UR luck.
The pulls are def worst but i feel like thats mainly due to them basically wasting the Early days of the account pulling from the same packs which were as you said high rolls when they don't have generic options that could hold them off from just outright bricking in some decks allowing them to pull in the more "safer" packs.
Gage has THE most generic cards right now and thats due to the nature of Traps rather than his actual cards which kinda shows how the rulings kind off messed up with this season
The issue was Gage lost DPE and Rexterm in addition to 2 Lab cards, meanwhile Doug got 2 less hits while being in 1st place and Farfa went into Bathmech even more times than he went into Lab. But even after 3 weeks people keep willfully ignoring the context and just keep spamming "Lab had to go" as if that's the only thing he lost.
Yea and all three needed to go… Gage had almost constructed engines and was genuinely leagues above any strategy Doug or farfa had. Yea farfa went into the same pack for a fourth time and still has a completely boneless skystriker/mathmec. Yea it was a very targeted banlist but not even two bans would be enough to have gage change decks which is the point of the banlist. Also there is basically no backrow removal mst is limited and feather duster is banned
I love gage fans that willfully ignore the fact that gage’s win rate shot up like crazy after he pulled the lovely and welcome lab. Bro went from a pitiful 25% win rate to 50% after he pulled it. He didn’t go 0-2 a single episode after he pulled it. From episode 6-10 he lost 2 games total.
Gage went from the worst win rate to catching up and then beyond Farfa.
The deck had to go. Lab is so good you could slap it in with basically any other dark deck like with heroes which is normally a combo deck.

Gage cheated on his bans. Doug crafted Regulus AFTER the ban segment. Regulus should have not been allowed to be banned as they wouldn't know Doug would get him post ban.
I think that's a matter of rules for the extra bans not being explained properly or putting exceptions so post initial ban crafts to be excluded

The wildcard bans never should've happened anyway. Their solution is just equally as horrible as the idea itself.
I dont believe they actually thought it would be a good idea to ban so many cards at once. That was definitely a decision made purely because of tilt.
Their decks are basically completely reset to like week 2.

I'm not really much of a fan on Nyhm, didnt really know who was until Master Saga series. But that was kinda scuffed to target his deck lol His one good deck lol And I liked the MBT seasons, even doom and gloomy ones. If a duelist is on a losing streak, there should be a slight pity system for them. But they must be embarrassed and ridiculed for accepting the pity system.

I will still continue to disagree with Joseph about the bans, last episode was a snooze fest because of the bans, gage was the only one who had to bring a new deck that week. And giving gage these extra bans ends up not being too impactful as farfa brings shadols again and again.

I play Lab, they are broken when left untouched, which is something gage was able to accomplish with his dinomorphia lab deck easily. There was no way that it was staying alive even if the engine was mid or subpar for Gage's deck

Nah it needed to get hit. Gage was at 3 wins the entire series until he pulled those cards and then he across the next 5 episodes only lost 2 games out of 10. The deck was strong, it worked well with other decks, and it needed to get hit.
