Her story itself breaks my heart, she just wanted to be that little bambo girl in village and one she loved was already married her own childhood friend. He was already father and a husband when she saw him again.

The tale means to tell us, that our destiny is always written no matter how much you try to change it. Life has its own way. She was meant to be a princess of the moon but Buddha let her live a mortal life in which people put her in the position of a princess no matter what she thought of it, that is her faith and she cannot escape it.That’s what I understood… what do you think?
@dadandyy I know right, no matter what she becomes princess and never live normal life. No one can change their fate, you can prevent your death but you can't prevent a fate destined towards yourself. Tragedy bound happen you can't escape.

It gave me a certain kind of feeling, a kind of feeling I think I had never felt before.
Not sad, not happy, not empty, just as it should be. Memories and feelings make us who we are. I have never been a religious person, not logical, but in the end, when 仏様 came for her, I just felt like this is what things should be. All these attachments, underneath them, we are something more.

The warabe uta is the song of phenomenal beings - sharing the joys and cyclical aspects of being a living / temporal being. There is a communal feeling of being part of nature.
The tennyo no uta is the song of the noumenal. They feel a yearning to land in a point of time, to feel the thrill of existence, and even the “messiness” of emotions, attachments, and pleasures. There are cycles, yes, for the divine also.
What a coincidence that every time I listen to this song a trash can gets in my eye that makes me shed tears. 😢😊 For me this is the most beautiful film from Studio Ghibli along with Whispers of the Heart.
I saw it last time 6 years ago and I still love it❤❤😢
The real tragedy here is that her dad locked her up and put her into a life what she did not want because he thought that this is what will make her happy, and she wasn't able or aware of this misunderstanding enough to actually stand up and tell her father that she is unhappy and she doesn't want that life. 🙁
