His voice is so iconic. I like a handful of actors Dafoe, Oldman, Bale and Daniel Day Lewis they really can transform themselves. Dafoe seems so down to earth and nice 😊

I could listen to Willem Dafoe read take-out menus...He just seems to compress so much feeling (good and bad and everything in-between) and intelligence into anything he says, and then delivers it with a unique balance of razor-sharp intensity and easy-going folksy rapport. Smart, honest, direct, immediate, passionate about his diverse interests, engaged and engaging. You get a sense of someone who's deeply enjoying life, someone who sees life as an adventure and is excited about what lies ahead.

Found out that as a kid he attended the 1967 "ice bowl" foot ball game between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys. The game time temperature was -15°F and the wind chill was -50°F.

@@csyd22 you should watch him in his roles..he still does his own stunts and had no problem fighting, being rammed into a cupboard and rolling around while grabbing each others nuts with Robert Pattinson in the Lighthouse..he did the stunts in NWH too...

Longest you've ever stayed up: I drove straight from NC to Moss point Mississippi, picked up a car and ate lunch, and drove straight back to NC. This was before GPS and cell phones and I had to use a map and print directions off the internet and was nervous and didn't sleep the night before. Um so Jack Nicholson was like 50 when he played the role yet he is Joker & Joker is Nicholson I just believe Dafoe deserves a shot at the role now
playstationsteve he's already the green goblin from Spiderman. He might have a contract with marvel. Or maybe he just doesn't want to play anymore big supervillan roles.
He needs to do that role even if it his last role ever in a movie & so what that was back in 03 this 2018 he did 1 marvel movie I mean Ryan Reynolds Halle Berry both played in Marvel & DC movies so what's your point
playstationsteve you're just taking his voice too seriously. That's the only thing about him that fits the joker. And it fit the green goblin just as well. He doesn't need to be cast as the joker and probably never will be. He's getting old and doesn't play many big roles anymore. If he wanted to be the joker he could get the part easily. He's probably been offered the job before and refused. And some contracts keep you from working with competitive companies. So. Just get used to the fact that he probably won't play the joker. He's not fit for the role. Only his voice is and if you think that's all it takes you are so wrong. Btw the joker isn't old. The joker is a smooth skinned young criminal. Dafoe clearly isn't young and has a wrinkled face. Plus he's old. He was old when he played the goblin and it was 15 years ago. Its just not gonna happen there are more downsides to him playing the joker than upsides. The only reason you want it is for the voice. And it's silly and unrealistic to cast a star based only on their voice.

I personally think he should’ve been Carnage. His performance as the Green Goblin was really good. I think he could’ve really took it if he went the Venom/Carnage route.
