    Greetings friend and fur friends! I always learn something from you! Best of all, you realize it’s a beautiful day and to take time to say it!! You always make me and the hubby chuckle, as he is talking to you out loud! And of course, I am loving the pups! Especially Titan and his shard! Hope you and your wife and the family are enjoying a beautiful day this weekend!!!☀️🐿️🐶

      Hey Debbie! Greetings to you and your hubby! Thank you for the nice comments. It makes me happy to know you get a giggle from this 😁 That dog cracks me up. He will bring a full sized stick at first, and then when he figures out I'm not going to throw it, he takes it away and chews on it, making it smaller. He does this over and over until there's barely even anything to bring! Goofball. We have had a great weekend so far. I hope you have as well! 🍻 😊

    Good evening, Aron! Is it Sunday already? I am excited, just had breakfast and am preparing for a 3 hour exam for my studies in economics today. „Management of complex problem situations“ is the name of the subject. Quite interesting, really. When I saw and heard you scrubbing the debris of the carburetor bowl I had to think of the time when I was kidding my brother by using a fork to make terrible scrubbing on a plate, that made him crazy, which I intended to do 😂😂 brothers do things like this sometimes. By the way: my favorite color is blue, too. I watch this video to the end now and go to my office desk again. Exam starts at 12:30 pm today. Press your thumbs and I will report how it went. Good night and sleep well 😘👍😴😴🍀🐾🐾

    There should have been a baffle on the back of the mower. It was missing. That is why the unexplained screw was there. It was originally securing the baffle before it got deleted. That baffle would direct grass through the side chute if it was there.

    Titan is very entertaining to watch. How many hours would it take for him to tire of fetching a stick? could you get him to change to a ball and set up one of the ball throwing machines that he drops the ball into. He sets the stick on top of the engines now.

    • @TractorFella
      @TractorFella  Před měsícem

      Hello there!
      When he was younger, it took probably 15 to 20 minutes of stick throwing exercise before he was ready to quit. I'd love to set him up with a throwing machine, but the problem is his joints. He's 8 now and his... wrists??... are sore a lot. He will push off his front feet and sometimes yelp. We have had x-rays and such done, but it's just the way he is at this point in his life. So... we keep our fetching to a minimum to keep it from getting worse. I appreciate the suggestion though. He'd probably keep using it until he passed out!! 😂

    I have never seen a blade adapter come off that easy. It isn't supposed to. Whatever holds it to the crankshaft has failed, or is missing. That is why the belt keeps coming off. It isn't able to maintain alignment due to the blade adapter being able to move up and down on the crankshaft. The belt moving up and down is causing that keeper to become dislodged.That is very dangerous and definitely needs to be addressed. There should be a screw or Woodruff key that holds it on the crankshaft and prevents it from moving.

    • @TractorFella
      @TractorFella  Před 27 dny

      Isn't the mower blade bolt what holds the adapter to the crank? If you look at 34:04, you can see the dimples in the adapter that key into the groove on the crank. Not too sure. 🤷‍♂️

    I am working on one of these mowers around the same age as this one for a friend. It sat for a few years, and I cannot get it to run. It will run for literally a second. It is not a fuel or spark related issue, because adding gas or starting fluid does not make it act any differently. I am thinking that it may be a compression issue. I want to check the valve clearance, but I cannot find any specs on these Chinese engines they were using. Have you had any luck? I would love to know what the correct valve clearances are.

    Wait.. did you say that it's a great mower?
    It's a MTD engine (Chinese PowerMore)...
    Rattly, shaky, noisy, clunky...
    No, terrible engines.. rather a Tecumseh any day of the week over a crappy Chonda PowerMore!

      @TractorFella  Před měsícem +1

      I appreciate the opinion and information. Another individual also informed me that it's a Chonda. First time hearing that term (which cracked me up). That would be the part where you all educate me. And for that, I thank you! 🍻

      @@TractorFella beauty! Yeah, I'll let you know about these engines a little.
      I actually have a very similar model too, with the 173cc "Chinese Honda" engine.
      When Honda's patent expired, there ended up being a lot of clones.. predators, Briggs, PowerMore.
      The issue with the Powermore engines is they're not very reliable, and their pull recoils are atrocious!
      First MTD powermore a customer dropped off.. pull recoil broken
      Got a second, an MTD, found at curb.. pull recoil had broken.
      Have a Weedeater by Husqvarna, with a PowerMore engine. It runs, then randomly dies.. and you would say "valves".. except it starts right back up without issue. Dunno what to do with this mower.
      I have actually started refusing PowerMore engines, and when looking for junked models, they are skipped.
      Tecumseh, for all their faults and poor QC in their later engines (2002-2007+) into their bankruptcy, still better than a PowerMore 😊
      Either way, direct response to your video. Great video! Actually enjoyed it a lot!
      My own channel (not this acct) does small engine repair as well, enjoyed your content quite a bit, and def. earned a sub 😊

      You're a wealth of knowledge! Do you do repair professionally? This is just a hobby for me. Something I love to do in my spare time. I have an automotive background, so although small engines are similar in concept, they're not THAT similar. So, I tinker and learn along the way 😁
      Clones are everywhere it seems. I have a couple of quads that have clones. Although I hear they're a little better. Cheap stuff is everywhere these days!
      I appreciate the info, comments, and sub!! 👍🏻👍🏻🍻

      @@TractorFella hahahah!! I have a strong mechanical background, automotive repair, small engines now, and an electrician...
      I just read a lot, and have learned a lot over the years.
      Basically what you're doing, yeah same. 😊
      But when I was younger I was very heavily into the automotive sector, but went into construction instead of automotive. Go figure! Would have made a great auto Tech, but you know what... I prefer small engines.
      Motorcycles, lawnmowers, generators... So much easier! They rarely see salt, and road grime, so rust is only because people are careless, but when a mower was well cared for, or even at least just stored indoors and dry... Nary a single bit of rust, save for the wheels.
      I really really enjoy working on these engines, and there is no feeling more satisfying (for me) than getting an engine running that looked hopeless.
      I have a Tecumseh engine that my son brought home.. that he found in a forest hahaha!!!
      I'm really really tempted to try to get it to actually run.. wouldn't that be wild!
      You're welcome for the sub, and if I can help in any way with suggestions, or just banter . 😊
      Love doing it!
      Keep up the great videos, your talking to yourself, and constant banter is great!! I am similar myself when I work too.... "Why am I still talking to myself? Why am I asking myself that? Why am I asking myself why I'm asking myself?" 🤣

      Very cool! Hopefully the construction business treated you well. I have friends that were in construction. One of them told me "You wake up sore every day. You'd think your body would get used to it. But it doesn't!" Good luck with the forest machine, sounds like a fun challenge!
      I agree. Seeing something come back to life is very satisfying! Always makes me smile.

I am turning 56 this September and my greatest wish always was to reach an academic degree. While working in my own company as a consultant for finance and controlling I trained our students but myself didn’t have the time.
