I’m not a skater but I am obsessed of being one since I was a kid. I still daydream of getting on a board to learn until I can be hella good. It would feel like flying and letting out my rage.
Just hop on a board and ride, you got it. Nothing is stopping you.
Go for it. It only takes a month or so to be comfy on it and Ollie, and around 2 months or so to land your first kickflip. You got this!

I dont skate anymore but spent every waking minute on my board from the age of 5 till 16. wasnt well off growing up but had enough to get a board every christmas. by the end of the year my board wasnt pretty. my friend on the other hand was less fortunate than I. I remember when we were 11, he had this pair of wheels for years they had such bad flat spots on them. this guy came up to my friend when we were at our local skate park and gave him a brand new set of wheels still in the plastic. he says " you need this more than I do ". what a great guy. This video made me relive that memory. I'm sure a few of these kids will cherish this memory. for some of us skating is all we have. I didnt escape with drugs. I used skating to cope with life. doing dangerous stairs and things that pumped my adrenaline. Its such a great escape. thanks for doing this for our community.

The first half of the video I was just wtfing because the people he was giving boards to clearly don't need the boards. Like there are just so many lil skaters out there stealing shit from each other in their apartment complexes and this guy is giving them to a kid that showed up with his mom in a limited edition truck lmao
True but then when he said he has like 300 more , I wasn’t too worried about it, literally every skater there can get one or two and still have more to give at other parks. I love seeing the smiles on the kids faces.

As a skater for the past 12 years, I know how hard it is for less fortunate kids to get into skating because of good boards being so expensive. You are a legend my guy!

for sure my good board cost 300+ dollars my cheaper boards are 120-150 dollars, People dont reliase a 30 dollar board isn't as good and feels stiff

I use to love skating. It was an everyday thing for me when I started at 11 till I tore my meniscus when I hit 21 and haven't skated since, I'm 27 now. It's so awesome what you do for the community Juan. Way to be an inspiration to not only the kids, but adults as well. 20+ grand to buy out both skate shops, you truly are a legend!

As a former skater. I used my board to get around everywhere and relied on it so much. Sometimes skating miles with friends or just skating home from school. Keeping kids out of trouble, showing them that there is still good in the world and possibly introducing them into a sport that who knows, they might end up being the next professional skater in is such an awesome thing to see!

BRO Nothing like rolling with 4 of the boys in the local area all day. I look back and realize we use to skate 12 hours a day all summer long. It's insane and brings a tear to my eyes.

I was in awe the entire video. This was above and beyond the typical walking around and blessing random students and people. The amount of people you helped out is astronomical and you probably changed the perspective of a lot of parents when they're child came home with a brand new board. Awesome awesome awesome

As a skateboarder, the skateboarding community thanks you. First off, supporting local skate shops by buying the lot. That includes boards that were sitting there for a long time. By doing that you made it possible for the shops to get new product and helped them financially. Also, skateboarders don’t get a good rep on the streets. Therefore parents don’t want their kids to skate because they feel it makes a negative effect on their life choices. By doing this and giving boards to kids, you are pretty much guaranteeing that they will ride their new decks. We need to get the scooter kids riding decks instead now! GJ

I’m actually surprised how popular skateboarding still is considering electronics and video games are taking over childrens lives now a days .
I don't know your tour routes, but Garland, TX just opened the largest skatepark in Texas, and I believe the 6th largest in the country. This project started with $1M back in 2002 and has now been completed at around $20M. It's called The Boneyard. This development was done in a lower income community, but has people of all walks of life on the socioeconomic scale. The Boneyard has become a major regional attraction to help revitalize the community around it. I think this would be a cool spot for you to come visit for the skaters that keep the place beyond full every day, unless we hit a Texas snow storm which consists of 1/4 inch. There are other area skate parks to hope over to in other cities, but I think this one would be worth a visit. Been following you for a little bit, and would love to see you do your magic in blessing people around that skate park as well.

Growing up a skateboarder my parents never understood why I went through so many shoes and decks. It definitely is pricy for a 13 year old every month to get new gear. This video lit me up man. I never had a personal attachment to one of your vids till now. Always watch your videos and share them to family but this one hit home for me

When i was in 7th grade i lived by the wedge. i managed DJ shop on Mill in the mid 90s..this teared me up, im 45 , i started skating when i was 9 i skated my entire life until i became paralyzed at 38 from a diving accident. i smiled through this entire video. Thank you for making my days so much better with your videos Juan, your a living legend. Your a great role model for the community!

That was the best video yet. Hopefully a lot of these kids will be more motivate to skate more. I remember pros giving out boards, making us fight for them as they tossed them to the crowd. It was like a highlight of your young life in that moment. So I’m sure these kids are stoked and will never forget this. I almost feel like you gave them all too many though. Hopefully they won’t take it for granted and will use them all or help their friends get started skating. But, it was a great idea and you made a lot of kids happy for sure. 🤙🤙🤙

Being in a skate community is something I would wish upon everyone. Even on a competitive level it seems everyone is supporting each other and cheering for another person when they land a huge trick. Everytime I purchase a new deck (which I do once a year even though I do not really need to because the deck is always in a good shape), I go to my local skatepark and do my thing for a couple of hours noticing other people. Last time there was a kid shredding tricks that were too good for his age but his deck was a wreck (even had a part missing) so I gave him my old one. That is how I get rid of my old decks and the reactions always warm my heart.

This is probably my favorite video of all your videos. Please do this more and in completely different cities and states. This was amazing. The skating community got to much flack when I was younger and my parents never let me learn because of it. Now Im older and Im just not in shape for it anymore.

What ? Dude just sick bro. Just think about it , you very possible just gave who knows how many kids the opportunity to be the future of skateboarding. I wish I could afford to do stuff like this , but as someone who took financial risk when I was in my 20s. Well lets just say in the end , and now almost 40 I got nothing to show for the financial risk I took 20 years ago haha. But everyday I try to make sure I grab my Plan:B or my Element Skateboard both with independent trucks , bones wheels and Spitfire or bones bearing. An just go for a crews , you know get in that zen moment. With know headphones , just let the sound of the wheels on whatever surface block out everything around me minus vehicles and pedrustrains of course ha. Man the freedom of skateboarding , the feeling of it is beautiful. So like seriously thank you , skate for life and well I love and only wear Vans skate shoes so Off the Wall for life ha.

I want to say thank you so much for giving the boards away. My son (the guy with the pink beanie and white T-shirt at the start of the video)was fortunate enough to get 2 decks from you and and someone there gave him another deck for a total of 3 decks,he was very thankful. He just bought a new Hockey deck about a week or two earlier. He did not feel right keeping the decks so he passed them on to other kids at the park that could use them. Your generosity is rubbing off! We need more people like you!

Dope man, so many skateshop have been struggling with the rise of e-commerce and its sad. I spent almost every day at my local as a teen and early 20s. I remember how much product would sit for months or even years. It would be dope if you did a follow up for a hand full of shops and exclusively bought the stuff thats never going to sell.
Amazing ! More youtubers should get into this kind of stuff , on every sport , sometimes giving away actual items is better than giving away money !

Hopefully there will be some new skaters in town now. At least a few of those kids are going to pick up the hobby of skateboarding just because of this experience that's awesome man
