That one handled wood pin was for husbands when they got out of line. : )
"One-handled rolling pin" is a tamper for vegetables when you ferment them (like sauerkraut).
IMO, the lamp/table is a little small for that spot.
I love the little table with the built-in lamp . You got so many other cute things it's hard for me to remember. I'm 82 and I don't drive anymore. But if I were young again I certainly would love doing what you're doing . I think we have an outlet store here but I would have to get my daughter to take me. Maybe after I get moved. My mother-in-law had salt and pepper shakers like the one you found. When I saw it, it immediately took me back to her kitchen and the wonderful meals she served us.❤

My mom’s rolling pin had 1 handle only back in the 50’s and 60’s. She made amazing pies.

You can pound and grind with the one handle rolling pins. Think nuts, berries and other things you can add to pastries. My gram prepped her currants for jam with hers
I LOVE the bins! I only have one in my area but every time I go I find a cart full of treasures! And when they are about to bring out more bins while I’m shopping I turn into a 5 year old at an Easter egg hunt 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 🐰

I wish we had Goodwill bins. However I’m in thrift stores 3-4 times a week. I’m retired so it gives me an outlet. I do crafting as well.❤your channel
If you have a cutter quilt, one that is too damaged to sell, but has some good areas you could use for crafting, the house picture frame, with the windows and door cutouts, would be so cute with a section of a quilt behind it!
That pewter dish that you found early would have looked perfect on a table next to your little house frame.
My goodwill bins is different. We don't have the shelves with bins. They will put a few of those grey totes in a blue bin with breakables, but not much. You defiantly have a good bins place. My bins place is HUGE!!

Oh my, I have that same pillow. I embroidered it with the same colors, probably was a kit, entered it in a fair and won 2nd place! Amazing. Love the little table with the lamp.

The rolling pin is used to roll dough without the handle, especially pizza dough and pastry. you transport the dough on the pin by picking it up by the handle.
There are no Goodwill bins near me. The lamp is a great addition to your living room. I also like the large picture of the Magnolia’s

Those things with the sharp ends I think are birthday cake candle holders or wine holders for giving toasts. You stick them in the cake.

Our Goodwill bins in Seattle are pay by the pound and they categorize and separate clothing, linens, housewares, toys, electronics and books. Shoes and accessories also!

Julie, love the Thrift finds. My hubby said the metal pieces are the base for casters.
We renovated a 1943 home. We painted the knotted pine. We left an accent wall in living room and made a pass through room a closet. It has the knotted pine paneling..
We painted the entire room. It looks great.

I think the blown glass in the styrofoam are liquor glasses.??? You fill them with liquor and insert them in a dessert like a cupcake. The idea is to take a bite and a shot. I love the magnolia print!!

I believe the rolling pin was originally used by fish wives specifically on their husbands when they came home late from the pub. Thus the one handle. At least that's what I learned from the old comic books I grew up reading. 😉

Julie I love the Magnolia picture! Can't live in Mississippi without having a Magnolia picture or painting. Mississippi is known as the Magnolia state. I live in South Mississippi and there are beautiful Magnolia trees everywhere. Glad to have you living in my state. Also enjoy everything you do.
That was interesting to learn! I would have thought Louisiana was the Magnolia State so it was cool to find out it’s MS!!
The item that looks to be a one handled rolling pin. I have one that’s smaller. It was used to push vegetables down in the canning jar when canning. Your’s being bigger might have been used to break down the cabbage fibers when making sauerkraut in a big crock.
