I grew up late 80's early 90's so caught the back end of days like this where you'd play 20 a side football from light until dark everyone was playing out all doing something no one sat in on computers or phones we made our own fun and they were the best days and memories of my life

Parents could go out to work and leave kids at the play scheme which have all been turned into religious temples for other countries. I walk out my door today as an adult and the streets are dead and even on xmas morning when kids would be on the streets with new bikes IT'S DEAD NOW. such a shame 😞

I wasn’t a skin but a Southern California skateboarder .. we’d do stuff like this all time .. finding crazy stuff to do with our closest friends .. making each other laugh .. flaunting our style that our mothers bought us lol! Simpler times .. before MySpace , Facebook all that .. even the young ones who looked up to us , we’d hook them up with old boards and a couple shirts and some shoes so they could have the look .. so many kids grew up like I did , without a father at home .. we really fused like a family back then .. still have so much love for all my older / younger brothers .. keep in touch with some of them till this day .. much peace and love from Southern California ✌🏻❤️

As an American, I was really anticipated to see this film, since I heard great things about it. It was a very good movie, and also a great reference for me to practice an authentic English accent. Lmao. Fantastic film.

Growing up in the late 80s before I hit my teens there was a skinhead couple who moved into our cul-de-sac, she had the skinhead with fringe, scooters the lot and you could tell people were quietly pondering if we'd landed the neighbours from hell (we were all still welcoming though) but they turned out to be a lovely couple who blended well - her 2 nice looking sisters helped too lol.

One thing I think the TV series lost that the movie has is how they filmed it. This looks very 80s even down the grain on the film, almost like they used 80s cameras

Even at the height of British power, influence, and growth, it was still a country with overwhelming inequality, class-based discrimination, crime, poor worker rights, and oppression of the poor working class, not to mention the fact that all Britain's power and influence was a result of it colonising and exploiting other countries at the behest of a corrupt and morally bankrupt ruling elite. Britain was never perfect, and certainly never the best country on earth (in my opinion), but that's OK, we don't need Britain to be perfect, we just need to do our part to try to make it better next year than it was this year.
