I bought this saddle. Feels great after you get it adjusted. I been in the field for 48 yrs. Best saddle I ever owned ! Only disappointment was they didn't send me one of those nice T-shirt's haha. But they made the saddle & shipped it very quickly.
Thanks for posting this August I’m a noob when it comes to current climbing technology but my wife has agreed to let my birthday be a new belt and the MB is the clear best choice!
Thanks for the in-depth instruction on adjusting the harness. I was wondering why there was so much extra webbing on the adjustment straps, now I understand. Also better for different weather conditions requiring special weather gear. Love my MB harness.
I have a Buckingham ergovation saddle that I recently bought and I really like it but after checking out your monkey beaver saddle I really wish I would have seen it before I bought because I would have definitely bought yours. I have just added the monkey beaver saddle to my equipment to buy list and I am very much looking forward to getting one. I really dig all your videos and I have learned so much from them I can’t begin express my gratitude because I am so much more of a better climber from watching and learning from them. I really love how you are bold and speak about your faith, as children of GOD we should all be more like you Brother. I can’t imagine doing this kind of work and not being right with the LORD. Be safe and GOD Bless Brother. 🙏😇
I honestly have to thank you for making this. I've been climbing on one since August and it's been hit or miss. That buckle to stop rotation was always there but I never understood its purpose till this video. I need to take a few minutes next job to properly adjusted it.
Noice work on helping the birds out!! I rescued 3 baby red squirrels this year, and from what the rehabilitator lady said there doing great, just so much work in raising them.. good luck.
I wish i would have known about the monkey beaver saddle before i got the tree motion, the way how it is setup is really in line with my old saddle before tree motion. When its time for a new one, ill be ordering a monkey beaver for sure
Great explanation! It makes sense now. ** how about an explanation on how to adjust the Protos helmet? Thanks for all the expert tips and explanations and taking the time to film the various steps. Especially interesting video... you kept switching with a variety of aspects and topics.
This video is interesting. I am not a cutter; I just enjoy watching you guys do what you do. Amazing stuff. I have seen discussions of various components of your work equipment, evaluations of various saws, modifications of saws. But, do you have a video where you simply have all of your gadgets laid out and explain what they are and how they work?
Thanks for the up close views of the saddle. Some sweet treework there too! Love the trolley arbdaptation! How come you didnt grab the log with the grapple in swing mode? Be Well Monkey Beaver Crew and Family
Yeah I would love to try one, but I don't think I could climb if I was dead right now. My wife would kill me. 😅 awesome shots as always . Thanks for sharing guys!
dandandatreeman the minute she sees you in that belt she’ll swoon with spontaneous uncontrollable romantical attraction. If she doesn’t we’ll send you a T-shirt and a sticker 😀
August, next time you need to raise baby birds. I've read that a feathered duster makes them feel that momma is sitting on them. Just crossed my mind while watching this🤷
Had my belt for about a year and never realise that the floating buckle on the leg strap could be used to stop rotation of the strap, just though they were for tidying up the tail, everyday is a school day round here. Your getting quit a chip mountain going on now, any plans for it?
Everybody else has nice weather that's funny South Arkansas from June till September is 95 degrees and 95% humidity with mosquitoes the size of small birds
Are you planning on doing ansi- and en-standardization for the harness anywhere in near future? I bet that would be changer at least for the european markets.
What size do you wear august? I'm buying the new harness and I'm very nervous small might be too small and medium will be too big. It sounds like worst case scenario I'll need to buy a small one for summer and a medium one for winter when I'm wearing more clothes lol. But in all seriousness we are pretty close in size and build so I figured I would see what size you wear
August hunicke can't stand my brand new notch saddle. The pinching is killer... If you have any returned harnesses keep me in mind can't afford brand new. Thanks. Willing to trade and cash . Used or fixed Is no big deal. Thanks.
Maybe a dumb question, but when you were pulling that big log with the arbor trolley, why did you choose to use a rope to the Vermeer instead of just using the grapple?
August Hunicke ouch. I was think you had some awesome clever reason and I was going to learn a new trick. Gotta love equipment problems, daily issue for me 😂
just side note hopefully when Ya qoute buckin billy Ray , stare into the camera ( hehe ) just for a moment, have some cool Orcasthra music, while your staring for a few seconds. LOL just a thought for a future video LOL .. now i can better explain the adjustments was a bit rude for the past few years telling guys to figure it out , I smile while say that but I do have to adjust mine often so people can try it ! like it ! buy it ! ...
August Hunicke I only met you once in Sacramento California here a husband a father son brother and most of all one hell of a CZcams video maker to you and Joe Damien Adam are taking the arbor culture industry to a whole new level one video at a time.
Shane Souza we have some in design phase but for now, people are using either Matt Cornell suspenders or contractor tool bag suspenders. I don’t use suspenders. I’ve got an idea for some though..
August Hunicke Tnx I will get some cheap toolbag ones from the local farm supply for now. I am eagerly awaiting some good padded ones and Reon's tether.
LoL just watched all of the video and my leg straps are pulling my waist belt dwn. Tnx Joe and August. Also had another idea on the suspenders. Would be nice to have a dorsal ring for fall arrest since we go from tree to bucket to airiel lift platforms. I just bought a fall arrest for platform and bucket work. Just an idea. If its a pain to incorporate foget about it. LoL
I saw some commentary you made about a mechanical adjustable bridge, Can you expand or elaborate on that? My harness right now I'm using a ct roll n lock and I'm not sure if I'd be able to bring that over to the monkey beaver saddle in the same way. I borrowed the idea from Richard Mumford's demonstration. Curious to know how you've set one up on the saddle because I'd like to go ahead and order one.
I'm glad you said something. I wear a 38-40 pant and was going to get the large but maybe I better get the medium. I'm using the EDGE now and that also runs big
Dead-horizontal back cuts; and face cuts perfect uniform planes and intersections -- pretty! cool swoosh cut technique....way advanced for me.... but you did miss the lay by a few feet didn't you? (didn't come straight to the camera). Robert Wood haha, it’s ok, no the camera was placed so as to show the cypresses and fence line and lean of the tree. Goal was to be parallel to the cypress hedge without slapping it (where the cam was.)
Ya, you should not encourage that buckin Ray dude how to preach it! That guy has a lot of hang ups and is leading a lot of people up crap creek! Having said that you are a very cool arborist!😎
I'm all about that monkey beaver I have to get another one for my son so he will stay safe and out of mine. I would love to be able to save on a dollar but is your life worth it? Don't you deserve comfort and knowing you are safe monkey beaver the way to go!
YOUR FUNNY , I THINK THIS VIDEO WILL BE VERY HELPFUL FOR MONKEYS AND BEAVERS, I TRIED IT ON AND IT IS VERY LIGHT ,. WELL DONE AUGUST
Buckin' Billy Ray Smith Judging by the looks of Victor, you tried on too small a belt. 👊🏼😎
August Hunicke I did indeed I purchased a large and it was even mo betta than victors. It's like a riding a cloud
