To start this street food tour of Istanbul, I went to eat a level 9999 crispy meat doner kebab at a famous local joint that I've been recommended by you.

To continue this level 9999 street food tour, I went to one of the most famous Turkish dessert shops in Istanbul where they make some of the best sweets in Turkey. I had their famous pistachio Katmer and halka tatlısı.

As a Turkish, i’m gonna recommend tourists to watch your videos. You find beautiful local places with cheap prices. Lots of tourists miss this opportunity and make half-assed travels only in in popular places, they barely eat local foods. I’m glad to see your hard work to search for these places and make good videos for us. I probably didn’t visit any of these restaurants because i’m not living in İstanbul but I’m gonna try when I visit next month for NASA’s exhibition and Anadolu Efes-Panathinaikos basketball match. Max, just wanted to give you a heads-up, that when you want to thank the chef for his effort you should say "Ellerine sağlık", translating as "health to your hands". You usually say it to thank the chef or servers after you have eaten your meal. You would say "affiyet olsun" to someone to whom you are serving food, or someone who is serving you would also say it. If you are being served food, in response you can say "teşekkür ederim", "sağolasın" or "eyvallah". Any of them will win you a lot of points with the locals and restaurateurs. Black Sea hamsi has a unique taste. The anchovy can never be as tasty as hamsi. Especially hamsi tava (black sea style) is my fav😋😋😋😍😍
