Best melody trémolo ever written , Francisco Tarrega's RECUERDOS DE LA ALHAMBRA, too pleasant and beautiful to the ears, and we add the magnificent JIHN WILLIAMS, well you've got the perfect combination!

Andres Segovia was the best classical guitar virtusso in 20th century but this man is the best now. All notes are complitely clear and his technic is perfect!!
Segovia was supreme and just a wonder to listen to....he had hands like a farm worker but his spirit soared like a angel....and somehow his great banana fingers plucked the strings with authority and utter majesty....his touch was perfection.
The man plays like a machine. Which is what some people say as a critique, but I as a compliment. He's unreal. And so relaxed, he looks like he's just scratching a kitten's belly.
Well said. The older I get the more I notice it, but I still admire it. As an amature guitarist I always tried to achieve mechanical perfection but fell way short of it. Maybe that's why I admire it so.
I'm 72, and have played guitar most of my adult life. But when I see this, I realize that I missed someting really important along the way, and that I really just plunk on the instrument. This man is amazing.

@@moncefkarimaitbelkacem1918 Narciso Yepes is an extraordinary player and he uses a 10 string guitar - you should hear his version of the Bach "Chaconne"
Yeah Bream is better in my opinion. Not to say Williams isn’t incredible, but I feel like Bream plays with more colour and emotion. To get a good idea of the difference, listen to their respective versions of “Sevilla”. Williams is fantastic, but then you listen to Bream’s and it’s like you’re listening to a whole orchestra play. It’s insane.
He must have played the guitar from the womb to be able to play like that, I can’t play a note but he can play five at the same time , a true guitar genius
The criminal part of this footage is the break in the sound as the tape uncrinkles. Such a magnificent performance truly deserves a far superior filming and media transfer.
John Williams plays the very best version you could hear on guitar, I can listen to it all day also to Nana Mouskouri's singing version too which is unbeatable
It's a matter of opinion really have you listened to Celidonio Romero or Julian Breem even Pepe Romero? Each and every one of them are masters,of the guitar.
Very challenging piece and, in my opinion, John Williams is one of the best in playing it. The tremolos timing is evenly spaced with steady volume. Another great tremolo piece favorite of mine is Oración by Manolo Sanlúcar.
Une main droite d'une stabilité remarquable pour ce trémolo de F. Tarrega, une pièce remarquablement écrite et parfaitement bien jouée par un des plus grands maitres de l'instrument. Superbe.

Master of Classical Guitar player. John Williams is one of the top Classical Guitar players in the world. Thank you for sharing your performance. It's so beautiful and spectacular.
We owe it to ourselves to listen and watch John Williams more while he is with us. I caught up with Julian Bream for a short time before he passed. And although his music keeps him alive, I could have honored him with much more audience antemortem. They are extremely rare individuals that we would not have forever.
John Williams makes it look like he is doing nothing at all. Sublime playing. He doesn't break sweat! It sounds like his technique is a gift from the Gods, but it is just a result of years of devoted practise. He studied at Segovia's Summer School from the age of 11. Encouraged and taught from early years by his guitar-playing Dad and then tutored by the best. After that it was just down to about 25 hours-a-day practise.
Played like a wind-up music box. No romance, no feeling, no phrasing, no rubato, no change in volume. It's hard to imagine a duller rendition of this superb composition.
