  • I remember being alright a couple times, and damn doesn't Arlo Mckinley know how to bring me back to those times. How so much nostalgia and melancholy can be packed into a 4 minute helping of words and musical notes is almost beyond me. You can tell, listening to the performance, that Arlo gets lost in it, really means it. That's what I love about the music. That and Dave's keys, of course.
Keep y'alls ears to the ground... i've heard whispers of Arlo and the Hill Country Devil doing something together in the future. Who knows when, how or what but I know they're both fans of eachother's music.

“So I went back to sleep, what else could I do, tried to find my way back into that dream so I could be close to you” I felt that whole verse in my soul. And a concert featuring him and Tyler childers was one of the last memories I had with that beautiful soul.

This song hits me like a ton of bricks. I've been hanging on to a dream l lost almost 10 years ago. It's got better though since I quit drinking. We don't ever have to forget but we do have to move on, to get better.

I felt like this about a few of em, then I realized all those emotions came from me and were never reciprocated. The 'love' was projected from a beautiful soul onto a hollow emotional vampire pretending to care and doing their best at mirroring my genuine affection. They never deserved it.

I've told many people that Arlo could make a damn rock cry. I've even told Arlo himself. Super nice guy.

Saw Arlo a few months ago. I knew there were two songs i would not be able to make it through without crying. He played neither of them. Still cried. 11/10 Will cry again.

What an amazing song, I'm literally in tears but it's because I can relate so much to this song in more than one way. My ex-husband and the father of our 2 children passed suddenly in his sleep at the young age of 38. We were no longer married at the time of his passing but for 16 years we were best friends together and apart. My current husband and I are having some rough times now and are nearing separation but often I dream of the days when we were much happier together. I also dream of my kids father and in those dreams he's alright. Arlo is an amazing artist and this song truly is amazing!!

Arlo has been another one of those artists that have found their way into a higher rotation at my house and in my headphones when I am riding my longboard /skateboard or walking the dog.
