This is late but just a tip for anybody who cooks beans often, you can cook the beans in an instant pot and it'll be done in 45 mins on high, no stirring and no soaking. So easy, I love it.

I made these this week, and they were absolutely delicious! They reminded me so much of restaurant-style refried beans. I wound up adding an additional 10 cups of water throughout the cooking process, but it didn’t dilute the flavor at all. I also fried them in lard for added flavor and blended them in the blender for a perfectly creamy texture. Thank you!

Wow! I have made “refried beans” since 1993, but I had never really known about refrying them. To save on fat and calories, I usually just cook the pintos separately and mash in the seasonings. I used your recipe and simmered the spices and bouillon into my cooked beans while also adding 2 tsp of chili powder, as I usually use.
These turned out like restaurant beans for sure, and the melted cheese added more depth. They were a hit with my kids! Thank you for sharing tú cocina with us!!

Maybe a tip for some of you. I love my beans extra smashed so I put the pot in the fridge. Next day I put half the beans in a blender then to add some extra beans add the end and pulse blend a couple times. Then I refer them on a pan. I just like quick and easy. But that also means more dishes to wash. But that’s why I have a dishwasher. Great video 👍🏼

For bouillon in my recipes, I use "Better than Bouillon". It's not powder or a cube; it's a very flavorful paste. It has more of a roasted chicken flavor. You use the same as the powdered stuff in a recipe. So you'll use 3 tbsp. chicken BTB in your beans. So good!!!!! And I'm excited to try these beans, thank you! :)

Your recipe was near perfect for me the first time. This time, I'm adding extra garlic and pickled hot peppers. Pintos are hard to find here, so I've used red beans and it's all good. I wait to add the generous handful of shredded cheese until I make the burritos.
I'll be happy for two weeks now, with toasted tortillas, green chili salsa, diced onions, and refried beans :)

I will try this tomorrow. I have never added the spices during the cooing of the pinot beans. That is unique to me. Looks amazing. What I want to experiment with is during the refried part if I use Lard/Manteca if the beans will stay moist after they have set for a while or if they just get dry and crack up. I will definitely try the onions, garlic, Comino, and bullion during the boiling of the pinto beans. That looked badass.

My family and his family both didn't talk to us because we moved in together so I didn't have know one to teach me how to cook so I would go to barns and nobles to get all kinds of cooking books. This was before CZcams came out I'm 31 now. I know how to cook but I know it would have been easier to learn from her Claudia she explains her self very well she does every single step. And even though I know how to cook already I like to see cooking videos of new dishes or something I already know how to do but their are ppl that do it differently. I always like to try something new.
And trust me with claudia you will literally learn how to cook it's like if shes there with you because like I said she explains everything very good. I have done some of her recipes. My husband and kids and parents like them. Also wish you the best to you and your boyfriend.

I have made these twice without the cheese and they are the best refried beans I have ever had. Better than any restaurant by far. I don't add salt due to the sodium content in the bouillon. Thanks so much for this easy to follow video!

Your right tons of ways to cook them, and then re-fry them.
    When I re-fry them
Always with pork lard or 🥓 grease the best, add 2 slivers of raw onion, one slice of raw jalapeno, brown them then add cooked beans and add pepper and ground cumin,,, smash,, then turn heat off yumm
