    It would really help if your video used more closeups when you are removing/installing/cleaning certain areas to make it more readily apparent what you are actually doing; otherwise good info

    Tom, take off the forend cap then insert a shell into the magazine. It'll poke a bit and you pull it out. Beretta doesn't recommend removing or installing on your own. Btw beretta.... Awesome gun.over a thousand rounds through mine and it's also worked through dirt inside the action and through saltwater this season. Even though 3 SBE 2s broke down. Love itt

    LTYFLY: To remove the plug, you twist off the cap and remove the fore stock. Insert a couple of shells into the magazine tube just like you would normally load the shotgun. after a couple of rounds are installed, you will see the blast plug pop out of the end of the magazine tube. Grab it, and pull it out.

    We don't have a larger diameter, and drilling it will possibly break it/weaken it. You can check with Brownells: they have alternative swivels that can be attached.

    LTYFLY is right. I can't figure out how to put the plug in my gun. I just spent 1800 bucks on this gun and am afraid to hunt with it because I am not sure if I will damage it in trying to install the plug to legally hunt. Beretta, any progress in the last 7 months to getting this info out to the public?

    I’m stuck at the charging handle. It doesn’t feel like it’s designed to come out (or I’m a total weakling). Is it different on an A400 Xplor Action? And/or does it require superhuman strength?

    Biggest piece of cap that I have ever bought, and I hadn't even shot it yet! I had to go with the Max-5 because Beretta discontinued the Max-4. The Max-5 looks like it had been hobbled together from five different shotguns... none of the pieces even came CLOSE to matching! The receiver came with a huge chip in the side, there was paint voided on the bolt and handle, and this thing was so jacked up that I had to have the trigger plate pin pressed out! I was never able to take the handle out of the bolt, which means that the gun is basically unstrippable/unservicable. The loading longe locked up five times under manual cycling, the hydrodipped camo pattern is void in many places (and the white base is showing), the choke tube were missing, and the tongue/carrier lock stabs my hand when loading a test shell. So sad... I had high hopes for this thing, but I got burned! Now I know that a few of my gripes centers around finish, but come on- this is almost a $2,000 shotgun! It should be perfect from the get-go! Sadly, I picked up a Browning A5, and everything was absolutely flawless! I should have gotten the Browning. I fell in love this gun before I owned it, and already hate it before I have ever even shot it.

      the person took the gun apart a lot most likely or mistreated the gun. I would stay away from it. that part has practically no stress at all and shouldn't be damaged.

      +Rich Theman people don't realize there is a break in period on all firearms. they have one little malfunction and freak out and call guns junk. every company has guns that come off the line with problems. you also have fan boys of other companies that are quit to spit false information about a gun. I never listen to any reviews online only use personal experience with a firearm.

    I don’t know who at Beretta decided on using a paper clip to take out a retaining pin. I cannot get this pin out to save my life and I have used paper clips and small Allen wrenches to no avail. Who carries that with them on the road?? You guys need to make this thing so that I can do everything with a small leather man or my fingers. My sons Franchi retaining pin is simple to remove unlike my a400.

    • @gunsmokeGA
      @gunsmokeGA Před 6 lety

      I did, but he does not show the breakdown of the bolt. I’ve got the other stuff down. Any suggestions on getting my retaining pin out so I can clean my bolt? It’s seized up or something because I am doing everything as described and I cannot get that pin to budge. I can’t drive it out with one of my punches either because the hole is too small.

    • @BerettaCommunity
      @BerettaCommunity  Před 6 lety

      Have you tried pushing the firing pin into the bolt carrier? You can use a 1.5mm punch to drive the pin out, or use a small paper clip.

    • @gunsmokeGA
      @gunsmokeGA Před 6 lety

      Yes I'm applying pressure to the firing pin as I try and push out the pin with a paper clip but it only bends the paper clip. I've also tried using a very small allen wrench about the same diameter and tap out but it bends also. I'll try and proceed with the 1.5 punch you suggested once I get one that small. Thanks.
