And wash it down with a few cold Guinness. Heaven ❤️
Loving how this stew turned out! It definitely looks very hearty and cozy! Great job showing how to make this, it really looks fantastic!
Thanks Anadi. It's simple and sure is tasty too 👍🏻☘️
You didnt use bay leaf. My Irish mom always used bay leaf. But your stew looks amazing
Yes a bay leaf would be a great addition to. It's always good to mix it up a bit with different ingredients. Thanks for the nice comment 👍🏻☘️
Trying this today! Going to cook in the crock pot, but do all the browning and sauce making per the recipe. Looks amazing!
Excellent idea. It will be soft, tender and delicious from that 👍🏻☘️
this beef stew look delicious with the beer!
It really is. It's such a winter warming dish 👍🏻☘️
Nice recipe easy to follow steps mate nicely done. The Guinness inspired decision. I love cooking with beer I did a beer bread couple of months back it was so good. Look after yourself buddy 👍👍
Beer and bread, I'm sold. Gonna check out that video 😏
thanks for sharing tips on the beef cut. I want to try adding beer to beef stews
Yeah Stout goes very well with stews. Gives it alot of body and flavor 👍🏻☘️
That looks so good Doc and I've become a fan of Guinness.
Thank you. Yeah, Guinness is lovely to have with food, in food or just as it is. Thanks for watching 👍🏻☘️

Thanks for the kind words. Plenty more recipes and videos to come in the near future 😊
This looks so good! Next time I make beef stew I'm trying guiness and rosemary like you did. I love the clip of you picking the rosemary by the way!
Thank you. You should try it. Just a little tip if you find the sauce a bit on the bitter side you can add some sugar just to take the bitterness away.
@@cookingwithdoctv6776 will do. I'm guessing some of the bitterness cooks off like beer does?
@@BreatheandBloom yes it does but some people think stout is too bitter anyway. For me it needs nothing more than the recipe suggests
Looks really nice
Thanks for watching 👍🏻☘️
I also like to drink while cooking :-)
It's a nice way to pass the time 😜
using oxtail is also awesome to use here aswell
Without doubt, oxtail has incredible flavour and also Beef Cheeks but they need longer cooking.
@@cookingwithdoctv6776 like 4 hrs lol
You are legend
Thank you my man 👍🏻. I'm glad you enjoyed watching 👍🏻☘️🍺

Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed. I sure will have a look 👍🏻☘️
I hate stew probably because the mammy made it with a packet of oxtail and tomato soup.By god that looks amazing.Gonna give that a try. Please get back to uploading more videos.
Thank you very much for the kind comment about the videos.
Stew is delicious. Some people don't like the addition of Guinness because they think its overpowering in the dish. It's up to you to add whatever ingredients you want. 👍🏻☘️
Hey there! I'm wanting to make a blended version (weird, I know) of this and add potatoes. Any tips??
By a blended version, do you mean like a type like for baby food?
@@cookingwithdoctv6776 hey! Thanks for getting back to me:)
Not exactly haha, as I know a can of Guinness isn't exaaaaactly rated as "baby-safe" regardless of it cooking off etc😂
My childhood friend was Irish and I used to stay with him a lot. His mom used to make a stew like this, but with potatoes as well, and she had it blended so it was almost like a soup? We would like pour it over bread and dip bread ends in it.
My question really is, what should I do - boil the potatoes and brown the veggies then blend and then cook it all up?
OR should I boil potatoes, brown veggies, cook it all up and THEN blend it up afterwards?🤔
Just wondering what your opinion would be!
In that case I would recommend chopping the vegetables a lot smaller and adding in the potatoes when placing in the liquid. The vegetables will soften and disintegrate an the potatoes will break apart and become part of the Sauce/Soup. If you cook the meat for longer it will also break apart into the soup this was the old way of making stew 😉. If it doesn't, place half the soup into a blender with the meat and blend a couple of times until desired.
well would you look at that
I hope you tried and liked it 👍🏻☘️
How did this thicken w/o flour or roux
You could add some cornflour or arrowroot to thicken the sauce too
👍🏻☘️
aye throw the carrots away drink all you will feel better
Hahaha. The extra cans of Guinness after are the desert 😉. Thanks for watching 👍🏻☘️
What no Bay leaf ?
You can add it in of course. In my mixed herbs it had bay in it 👍🏻☘️
You just butchered this dish with the flour ..christ mate make a slurpeeee
