Thanks beautiful! Crazy times getting married again but I’m really excited. I’ve picked a loyal, honest & strong one this time. No more heartbreak for me 🌈💕😊
Mon Dieu, Chez, you have forgotten the most important gift: hat & glasses! All sax players must have a hat - it improves the technique! A wool cap for blues, straw fedora for jazz, felt hat for pop and funk. Merry Christmas!
Just throwing it out there, if you get the tomplay app you can search a song and, what I do, take a screen shot of the preview. From there you can listen to it also. Just a suggestion.
Nice idea SaxLife, it's certainly worth the investment for the variety in difficulty and time saved. You want to spend as much of your practice sessions playing as possible and less time planning ideally!
Great! Thank you so much, now I have a better idea of what to buy myself and then give to my wife to give to me. Alternatively, I may try a Aizen NY Kurogane Titanium alto sax. Mouthpiece. Any thoughts about this. Mouthpiece??
Regrettably, the Titanium mouthpiece was only available on special order and was not, therefore, available for a two0week trial period. After discussion with Dawkes Music I have opted for the Aizen Jazz Master ebonite mouthpiece, which does come with a two-week trial period. I have also arranged a testing session in Manchester next week to try Otto Link, Meyer, D’Addario Select Jazz and Vandooren mouthpieces. Merry Christmas to me! Thank you for your instructive and entertaining videos and all the best for your forthcoming marriage. As a matter of curiosity, does a musician of your calibre marry another musician or someone from an entirely different sphere altogether? When I have selected my new mouthpiece, I’ll let you know what I chose and why.
Hi, we create Soundwave Art but with ours, you can play it and hear the audio or watch a video (Perfect for your wedding). Get in touch, we would be happy to create one for you.
How many Legere reeds did you try before you found the right strength? I found them to be stronger than D'Addario Jazz Select and needed to exchange to a lower strength on my bari.
I found that I needed a slightly larger Legere Studio Cut for the Alto (2.75) and I tried four different strengths for the tenor but never quite settled with them. I think they're stunning for Alto but I'm not convinced on Tenor.
You forgot a pare of white gloves and a fancy dress! Merry Christmas! 🎁
Also have a great wedding and upload a mini volg of your specail day with some Chez music. Wishing you both a very happy future.x

I haven't tried this mouthpiece personally. Would love to though when I get the chance. Let us know how you get on with it!
