EEEKS…….You had me at BISCORNU …….a bit of anarchy in the group made for so much fun…..nobody said “keeping the troops in-line would be easy…”…..
I definitely didn't expect everyone to stick to the rules, in fact my own plan was to aim for more like 18 hours this time round! It just turned out to be so motivational being around everyone, I got the full 24 in faster than I've ever done before and managed a nice early night on the Sunday to recover 😎
"Sadly" though, I'll be on a cruise ship swanning around Spain with extremely limited internet when the next 24hocs happens. So anarchy might end up being the case indeed 😅

Thanks, it's going to have to come out but it's thankfully a bit more under control now so I can at least get through my birthday without eating through a straw! Small successes, haha 😅
Totally understand not having the energy to be the happy stitcher (person) you think people expect. I love your videos and am happy to see them when you are in the right head space and feel up to it. This sounds like such a fun project!

My God! This is me!! It's been over a month and I'm just now getting back into thinking about videos! Been living under a rock trying to just be okay - does not go with smiley happy crafty lady vibes
"trying to just be okay" yeah that pretty much sums it up! This makes three of us at least, clearly it's something in the air. Still, fingers crossed we can both bounce back a bit! I've been doing some Katie-style fearless sewing and that's helped a bit :D

Slightly gutted I'll be on holiday for the July one, but only slightly since I will be drinking cocktails on a cruise ship so you know, not too terrible 😎

I keep having nightmares that it’s time to leave for our flight home and we haven’t packed anything and all our stuff is everywhere. Very stressful!

I've been checking for an update! Sorry to hear life has been rough lately. And HEY. I also have wisdom teeth trouble! I'll be getting all 4 pulled this summer at the ripe old age of 37, ugh. Your coverage of my progress from this weekend made me giggle.
Oh no, that sucks! Wisdom teeth trouble twins is not a fun kind of twins to be. But we will both survive, and we'll both do a lot of stitching in a nest of blankets to make ourselves feel better. That's my plan, anyway!
Struggling a bit myself with the CZcams Persona but we'll see how we get on - lovely to see you back! I wonder if I'll finish that sepia nonsense before the next 24HOCs, it would be nice to try something with some actual colour!
Gotta say you definitely hide the struggle better than I do! But booo, that's three of us in the same situation just from this one comment section so I bet it's a pretty widespread funk at the moment. We shall overcome. Gotta get myself a Big Frog for when the bad times attack.

I miss stitching so much, but I've been expanding my wire and stone chip tree business which has been taking up all the time work hasn't. I did see some really cool patterns I want to try though, so hopefully I'll be able to get back to stitching some day soon. 😅

Hi! Welcome to the hobby :D
So here in the UK, DMC floss sadly costs a lot more than it does for our friends over in the US. It used to be the case that you could save huge amounts by buying online from places like www.enchanted-needle.co.uk or www.lakesideneedlecraft.co.uk, however they've both put their prices up significantly since I started shopping there. It still tends to be a bit cheaper than local craft shops, although always worth checking yours to be sure!

Where did you get your qsnap ? And does it come in a pack of different sizes?
You can buy them at most online needlework places these days, here in the UK Lakeside Needlecraft is a popular one but they're pretty easy to find. I'm actually not sure if they're available anywhere in multipacks, generally see them sold individually, although you can mix and match the pieces from different sized ones to create your own custom variations.
But I was lucky enough to only need to purchase my first one, a stitchy friend gifted her collection to me after realising she wasn't keen on using them herself. I use them all the time so extremely grateful for that stroke of luck!
@@TheGiddyStitcher I ordered online that came together 8x8 and 11x11. They are scheduled to arrive this coming Thursday. Anxiously waiting. In the meantime I am making grime guards. I accidentally made the with 61/2 by mistake but it turned out ok, cause I remember in your video you said 6” is the default. In the 11x11 size should I make it wider?
