Is it? Larry is very knowledgeable yes, but presentation delivery needs help. Just because you can talk for 1hr plus, doesn’t mean you should. Unfortunately his slides are merely cue cards. No audience interaction, or change of pace with other speakers. Honestly speak for 20 mins max, people will remember more of what you say.

I’m listening on AirPod max headphones. There’s a strange echo in this recording (sounds like howling wind) That’s a shame because I love listening to Larry talk about technology. I wonder if someone could run a simple audio enhancement over this video and lose the echo and then repost the new video? Because that would be most excellent of you if you did. He is such a smart dude and I always learn a bunch from his fireside chats.

I noticed a lot of foreign listeners in the audience presentation like this is an open information on how we run our advance system thats why they had an easy access on how they could apply it in their own nation and it will be a future competitor, otherwise they could be more advance than our own, it is public anyway because of social media, my take on this, is it should be considered critical information on our side. it happens already in different aspects of our advanced technology, and they would copied it.

Did you not notice how many jobs will be lost? I am a general physician and have some experience in web application development. My vision has always been to go beyond individuals and focus on populations, so I set out to learn IT and web and data analysis. I was deeply moved by the talk but, is it not going to create a more enormous monopoly of information (Health- information) and create opportunities only for Tech giants and a few partners to be in control. I wonder if there were also thoughts on how to provide opportunities for the global community to adapt to the so-called change so that no one feels left out?
Wasn't too long back Larry didn't believe in the cloud, cos his on Prem solutions was at direct loggerheads with AWS, Rackspace and other similar firms. If you look at it from a holistic point of view, what really changed was that datacenters moved away from spinning mechanical disks to solid state ones, and that had an immense effect on database providers, where in memory db caching became the norm.
