  • Still according to many, the Sonus Faber Electa Amator Mark 1 is the best version of the Amator series.
In this video they are, supported by the original adjustable walnut stands with marble base and spikes, driven by 2 Graaf GM20 OTL tube amplifiers. These are internally bridged to mono amps, increasing the power from 2 x 20 watts to 1 x 60 watts. This provides even better control and steering of the SFs.
The NBS jumpers used here connect seamlessly to the NBS Active 2 speaker cables. Interlinks are the balanced versions of the Transparent Reference XL with NBS Monitor - and Kemp Hi-powercords. Source is a Meridian 588.
The CD of Klaus Schulze played here is, despite being electronic music, very spatial, warm, bright (without becoming too sharp) and really beautiful. A true test CD for the whole chain. You can hear the 8th track "A Chilly Fiesta" played.
