Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

That Mary's life has come to a full circle since the taking of trikafta a miracle drug that bought a dramatic turnaround in Mary's health condition and now having Elijah who is turning 2 in December plus the new foster baby that joined the family in july.. There is in much of anymore to tell when it comes to share on the vlogs right now . and Peter s new job at a church in Durham NC full time . now would be good time to close the CZcams chapter and move on to next phase of whatever life brings you and its other projects.. Furthermore CZcams is not really
A platform that doesn't generate enough income to sustain a good life and put food on the table for a large families its too point that you need a
Second job or a full time career that generates the income and pay the bills and yearly tax returns that need filing . plus to pay insurance for your
Home and vehicles and overall heath expenses!! And one day like other
Companies it would one day close or get bought out by someone else..

Since the days of Kinder eggs and canned peas I’ve watched you guys. All along I was being prepared for these days. My wife of 42 years passed away, my heart failed and the implanted defibrillator. I’m grateful to you guys. Now if I could overcome this loneliness. God bless you guys.
I’m sorry for your loneliness. I hope it gets somewhat better over time. When my mother died in 1994, that was the first time I ever really saw my dad cry and the problem was he couldn’t really stop crying. It was really hard, so hard and my kids were third and sixth grade. I’m the youngest kid, and now both sisters have died besides my parents, so I’m you might say the only kid left.
I’m thankful I have my two adult children, especially because after 30 years of marriage plus 4 being separated, my husband and I finally divorced. It’s hard to spend your whole entire life with someone since 16 years old, and then all of a sudden you are alone. Although, not really all of a sudden. I was alone for years inside the marriage.
I saw your dog 🐶 in your channel picture on the side there. Dogs can sure lift our moods. At least they sure do for me.

I totally understand the loneliness. After my sister passed I've been having a hard time. February the last of my mother's siblings passed....there were 9 of them. Seeing my aunt passed reminds me of what's next and I don't want to be reminded. I wish you the best.

I know loneliness through a bad circumstance. I was married 42 years and he abandoned me in another state. Protecting his lies are the most important thing to him. There is so much more to the story but I was alone for 2 years, spent holidays alone. I feel for you. That is the most awful feeling. Is there friends or family members you can reach out to to spend time with?

I’ve been following y’all for 6 or 7 years now, I remember how badly y’all wanted to parent and open your homes, but health circumstances just didn’t allow. I remember Mary getting all her pre transplant testing and moving to prepare and what not. Now I’m continually just so overjoyed for y’all that you have these opportunities now ❤ Congratulations on this new chapter in your life!🎉

Eight years ago, my son's doctor told us "He might have cystic fibrosis". He was 2 weeks old, I was a new mom, and I was terrified. I held him and cried, because I heard so many horrible things that came along with the diagnosis. I found your channel and I fell in love with you both as people. My son is a CF carrier and following your story has given me so much hope and happiness. You both are amazing kindhearted people and wonderful parents. I've loved watching you both over the years, and I hope to see you both return in a new season.

I found you after our daughter was diagnosed with CF seven years ago. You walked us through so much pain without knowing that you were. Thank you! This season with Trikafta is so different and beautiful. Our girl is so healthy we can’t even believe it’s our reality. Go and raise those babies. We love you Frey family ❤

We vlogged EVERY day for 5 years and then one day, we didn't. Lives change, seasons change, and that's ok! Your adoption journey inspired us to adopt and it was the most incredible thing we ever did, thank you for being an inspiration and a blessing through the years, we are so happy for you all!

You guys are the ones that got me hooked on CZcams. I only watched your videos, religiously. Then slowly started following others. You do you! We’ll always be here for whenever you update. And hey, if you don’t, that’s ok too!❤
Your channel helped me when I was a young teen. I was getting diagnosed with Crohn's disease, constantly doing tests, and scared and lost in the new environment- the hospital. Your experience with tests, procedures, and surgeries were one of the most helpful things in that time. It was during covid, so I couldn't even ask my friends for sorry. Your energy and optimism inspired me and helped me learn to have fun even in rough times. And because you also live in NC, I felt a connection.
Also we are learning about CF in biology in highschool, so thanks to you, I'm really enjoying this unit and feel very intelligent!

I wrote a paper on CF in my high school biology class. This was back in the early 2000s and I had recently read the book “Alex: The Life of a Child”.
Honestly I found you guys when I was in high school in 2015 and my health had been slowly declining because of a genetic illness and the first few videos I watched just made me cry and that’s because I had never once met someone who also struggled with their health. I finally felt seen and I watched every single video for years because it was my lifeline when no one understood. When trikafta came out and I saw the change in Mary’s health and subsequently you’re whole life I cried again because it’s what we all hope for if you have chronic health problems, a miracle cure and if there’s anyone that deserves that it’s you guys because you’ve given so much to this community. Regardless of what the future looks like I am ONLY happy that you are living your life to the fullest and taking full advantage of the ability you have. Please keep doing that for those of us that are limited in our ability right now. So so so happy for y’all 💗

I’ve been watching your videos for several years now. So I was initially pretty sad that you won’t be posting as often. But it’s hard for me to stay too sad because of all the good things that are in your lives now. I’m so stinkin’ happy and excited about everything you guys are doing and experiencing. And if I have to get my updates from Instagram, that’s what I’ll do. I know I’ve never even met you guys, but I love, admire and respect you so much! I sincerely pray that God continues to bless you. Over the last 8 or so years I’ve been watching you guys, I have grown to care so much about you but with that I entirely understand the shift in life! Parenting is HARD we have one baby and it’s a full time job! You guys have literally gotten me through highschool, I have 4 weeks left until I graduate and it would’ve been so much harder to get to this point if I hadn’t found you guys. Since I started watching I’ve gotten a diagnosis and gone through major depression and anxiety and changed schools and started medication for the first time. I’m coming up to a lot of change in the next few weeks and months which is scary but remembering it is just a season and not forever is comforting. You guys and Ollie reawakened my love of medicine and my inner medical nerd which has been what I keep falling back on to get through these last number of years. So thank you so much. Enjoy your time together as a family and I’ll always watch any video you put out because you’ve a constant in my life for so long and I am so grateful for that 🥰.
