Almost all the main fast food restaurants were founded in Southern California, USA. Carl’s Jr is mainly the west coast of the USA and Hardee’s is mainly the east coast and the middle states of the USA.

Carl's Jr. actually used to be in the southern states of the US but for some reason, they are all Hardee's now lol.

Others have already said, but Carl Jr. and Hardees are the same company, just different name in different areas. I'm in the midwest and we have Hardees.

hardee’s and carl’s jr are both the same company but under different names depending on where you are in the states, for example we have carl’s jr in california but hardee’s can be found in southern states like alabama. i actually used to work at a carl’s jr for two years 🥲
