Your experience as a waitress reminds me of something I witnessed back in May. I was at a local Chinese buffet I go to every other week, but this time I got seated behind a family of 5-7 people. Not only were they loud, their baby kept throwing pieces if lettuce and orange slices onto the floor. And this wasn't a small amount either, there was a TON of it covering the floor. And you know what they did? They laughed and encouraged it, saying it was "cute". Then they got up and left without cleaning up their mess, leaving the waitress that had seated me and taken my drink order to stop what she was doing and clean it up. So I apologized to her for their behavior and left her extra money for her tip. I really hate customers like that. If you get something on the floor pick it the hell up.

I’m always nice to the waiters…because I’ve been there. They deserve to be respected! There’s a lot of juggling with that job

@@yunassweetheart4518 It's pretty bad in Greece in some respects. There's a lot of investment going into modernising how things are done, so currently you have processes that take 5-10 mins to complete online (setting up a limited company for example), and some that take months/years and countless physical documents (i.e applying for residency/citizenship). It'll be a while before everything is online, integrated and quick.

You are definitely not alone and being treated badly at the workplace. When I was a bedside nurse I would be talked down to by physicians families patients and administration. It was very frustrating because I was educated, working in the intensive care unit, and was trying to do my best to help but sometimes it seems like nothing was ever good enough. Now that I am administration myself I make sure that I never forget what it was like to be in that position.
Though she's quiet but she managed to tell us her life story 🥰🥰😄
