The final declaration, however, compromises Venezuela's sovereignty, according to Bolivia. We discuss the outcome with Miguel Tinker Salas and Greg Wilpert

Russia, China, or India should offer medical supplies to Venezuela on a use-now-pay-later basis, and at least Maduro could be sure that he was getting aid in the shipments, and not weapons meant for the opposition. And it wouldn't add to the West's "humanitarian crisis" narrative, since many transactions are paid for long after delivery when discussing international sales. Thank you sooo much for your important and relevant independent news station. I first saw Dharna and I believe it was Eze reporting in San Francisco at the Climate Summit this past year, 2018. I began following your news and media outlet after that and have been incredibly satisfied since. I look forward to when I have some extra money soon to contribute to you all's efforts.
    >>>I am just curious, as a patron to your station as well as an activist and organizer, I am curious if you all are willing to ask more questions to experts about what regular, normal American citizens can do to oppose this situation. I know you all have definitely reported action steps, but I read the comments on your CZcams uploads and see SO many people concerned, but I feel like the average person does not know or understand the route in which they have some power to affect change.
I love that on your recent video Medea Benjamin of Code Pink gave us as citizens some action steps, such as calling our representatives, which I did right away. I think there may be good insight from these experts that have not only studied the history but oftentimes the resistance and people power that combated this in the past.
I have had this thought about a lot of news outlets, including Democracy Now among others. I 1000% believe in grounded, people powered #independentmedia, but also believe we could be doing more information-sharing and #organizing THROUGH news media and how it's delivered to the average person that's NOT an activist or organizer and already plugged in. To be honest, even with my organizing history I am truly looking for guidance about what I can do as an American to influence the government to stop this #coupdetat we're aiding in #Venezuela. Not overstated, but this feels like a Vietnam-like war situation. I know I don't know everything, and we're all always learning, improving and progressing and the more we share info, but more each of us can share the load of work needed to be done. I give many thanks for you all and would appreciate the thought of this proposal, if it is applicable and others are interested in this.
If not, I still have so much appreciation and respect for your work and truly deeply thank you for the reporting you all are doing.
    In solidarity,
    Imani C. D

If the early elections look like they can't be held, Mexico and Bolivia will obviously look correct. Put the wise put their wisdom out and I'm not afraid of it. There was a presidential election - called for by the opposition and "international community". But they kept delaying and putting it off, and eventually reneged on their own negotiated deal. Maduro went ahead with the election they had agreed on, but the opposition boycotted it - not because of fears about rigging or unfairness, but because they knew none of them had enough support domestically to win. Therefore, to call for another presidential election is a disgrace - and, obviously, if Maduro agreed to hold another one, the opposition would then demand he does not run in it. This is standard "regime change" playbook - the demands on Maduro will be deliberately designed to be either unacceptable, or impossible to fulfill. The whole point is to remove Maduro un-democratically, not to have him be voted out in a "free and fair" election - because this has been tried already and failed miserably. None of the clowns and puppets in the opposition has even a fraction of the support enjoyed by Maduro - this whole thing is a charade, a re-run of Libya, Syria, etc.

Federika got wrong! We the concern people believe that the presidential elections of Venezuela are not to be negociated! Up coming election for other positions should be up for negociations. Canda is a neoliberal nation that up held the interest of the United States + is hoping to benefit from the future pillage and plunder of Venezuela. The same is true of the European Union. None of the nations supporting coup should be allowed to help negociation or participate! It should be a neutral group. Russia and China were not sllowed to participate because they has being vocal against the attempt of coup. If yhose country are left out because of a percived involvement in fabor of the government of Maduro; then the United. States and those supporting and actively pursuing a coup. Should Not be included in group. The Pope should understand what sovereignity is all about since Rome is considered by all nations as a sovereign state. Again no to a Coup! NO to Covert or Overt Operations, No to buying our people, no to use Aid they is being used for political Aid. Want to give medical aid. Take it through the United Nations or through Red Gross. Removed the thrests and the attemptsbto get munitions and wespons to the so called violent opposition. They know what the deal is! Let the pope take in the medicines in with Mexico,Bolivian , South African Aid. No to strings attached! This Bastards are sick!
