You are right about the combat in RotR. Timing can be learned but the way the game wants you to use the combat system is clunky as hell and any newly learned skills in-game just serve to make it less so. I tried remapping the combat controls like I do in Souls games (face buttons for attacks and triggers for holds like Blocking) with no success because it hampers heavily on the rest of the functions in the game for a smooth experience. It's a good combat system with very little hand-holding such as minimal flashing indicators. You mentioned the visuals which I was looking forward to but yeah it's not pretty at all. Oversharpened in still image and fuzzy during movement like its downscaling resolution, all the time. And stealth just seems preferable to a drawn out fight dealing with all of the above.
I agree but stealth does not kill elites, which makes inlet only 50% useful, unless that improves through skills later on. Overall Ghost of Tsushima has ruined my life haha
What's with a combat style at 10:30 in ronin? That looks more like a rapier or general thrusting sword style. Did they use such techniques with katana?
@r.kapaun01 Not really sure that was necessary. Nowhere was there a statement that it wasn't allowed, just a simple question, especially as Ghost of Tsushima does have "authentic" weapons and combat styles. That very aggressive response was a little OTT. But in a civilised response, you are of course correct, games are games, they have mechanics which are unrealistic to make them entertaining, I for one do not like souls like because they are too hard, but even they are "easy mode" compared to real life combat, especially with swords. But at the same time, those sorts of things DO matter to some people and it was the whole point of the video, Tsushima did a game set in Feudal Japan so we'll, others cannot compete. This is of course my opinion, just like your comment is your opinion, but there is nothing wrong with asking about an animation in a game if that matters to your level of enjoyment of a game.
I have done already and didn't actually like it. Also played Nioh and the same with that. I just found Ghost of Tsushima to be amazing and I do not see how any other game set in Japan could touch it
Couldn't agree more. Assassin's Creed feels like a step back.
I have not played and probably won't play Shadows buy the only game I would look forward to now set in Japan would be Ghost of Tsushima 2....

@@DiceandDualsenses theres always that one game isn't there
Ghost of Tsushima is a beautiful game but the Persona series is what makes me love Japan. Their culture and creativity is just poured into those games
I was mainly talking about feudal Japan. Never really got into the Persona series lol

No but you can equip different weapon types, including western weapons so may be a sabre not a katana
@@r.kapaun01 oh my. Feel better? 😀 Sounds like therapy would really help that PTSD!
