Idk if anyone said but, on the headlight, I think aluminum foil would hold in heat and doesn't get hot enough to melt, like the racks or direct heat. If you check it periodically of course. Great vid.

alright bro did your fog light n bottom honey comb grille fit in nicely got one and there mot wanting to go in properly seems like there to small but brought right ones did you have a problem when fitting them yourself ?

Hey mate could you swap just the front grille from the gti onto a tdi bumper? I like the red outline on the grille and I want to get a debadged GTI grille for my car
Unfortunately not mate, to fit the GTI grill youll have to put a GTI bumper on. As the GTI grill is a different/ larger grill to the TDI Grill. 👍

Can I install original golf 5 fog lights on GTI front bumper or these are two different types of fog lights? Thanks.
From what ive seen there are 2 types of fog lights on the mk5s. So you will need the oval ones from a gti/gt. The ones from a standard tdi etc will not fit.

did you have to cut the bumper at all or was it a direct fit?
You will have to make a slight cut to the bumper and the slam panel. Nothing crazy just offer up the bumper, you'll be able to see where itll need cutting. 👍
Looks sick AF coukd u not have used a heat gun instead of the oven
Oven is supposed to give better overall heat coverage to the sealant. Were as if you were to use a heat gun it'll only heat up on one spot of the sealant. 👍👍
Quick question, can i mount the GTI bumper on TDI model, without changing the whole front support?
Yes you can, but the bumper requires some cutting to get it to fit correctly. 👍👍

@@CaramelNutsMcGee if you open the boot and lift up false floor there should be a sticker with your paint code if not it’ll be in your service book.

Was this previously a TDI bumper and does the GTI bumper just attach the same way?
Yes originally had a TDI bumper. No you need to slightly modify to fit. Or have a GTI slam panel to fit directly.

Yes as long as its a mk5 it shouldn't stop you from doing the bumper swap. 👍

I have a 1.4l fsi as my first car and I put a gti bumper from ebay on it, I had to do some cutting to the bumper around the middle bar support bit but if you have the tools it's decently easy
