When I was a kid, this buggy was on display at the mall and I wanted it so bad...so my dad bought me a World Engines Rockbuster (the fake/clone of the Tamiya Grasshopper) instead! I was like...shucks...and then about 3 years later, my dad got me a Tamiya Blackfoot! But after all these years, I still want the Tamiya HotShot more than any other R/C car! Thank you Tamiya for making a re-release!
I bought it against the hot shot design.
The performance is not as good as today's product, but it has its own charm.
