      Taking a moment to pray for you, Jeremiah, even though this was a year ago. God knows! Lots of free, solid resources out there (including right here on CZcams). I really like the YouVersion Bible App for access to many translations/versions of God's Word as well as much devotional content on every imaginable subject. God BLESS YOU.

    I have never come across a preacher like this and I have needed to hear this series more than anything! 20 years of wanting to kill myself and I could have been free. No matter how much I read my bible I have not been able to achieve this kind of understanding but for sure I will pass this knowledge onto others and Dan Mohler you are the best preacher I have ever found

  • @TheSubwaysurfer

    Its a shame that in my circles I mention Dan Mohler and they don't even have a clue who I'm talking about...or even CARE when I do tell them.
    I'm not defying Dan, but according to Ephesians God has placed teachers in the body to mature us and grow us up.

    Question: Why Paul asked for healing 3 times and God said, ""my grace is sufficient for thee"? Just an honest question.

    • @kaiqiyeo
      @kaiqiyeo Před 9 lety

      I have heard Pastor Dan's reply to this before. He said the thorn in Paul's flesh is not a physical condition or ailment but a tormenting spirit, one that is working for Satan.

    • @allopez13
      @allopez13 Před 9 lety +4

      The thorn in the flesh is never mentioned as sickness. You won't find it anywhere in the bible, the Greek word does not mean sickness.
      2 Cor 12:4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. 5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. 6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the MESSENGER of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
      People always take 2 Cor 12:7 out of context, without reading the whole chapter. Infirmities in the Greek do not necessarily mean sickness. Paul is making it clear, he was caught up to heaven and saw things. He wanted to glory in that, but a messenger was sent to buffet him. I believe this means to humble him from becoming proud in the experience. He said he wanted to glory in his infirmities, the war is spiritual, the enemy does afflict our mind and ability to continue growing in God.
      The prince of Persia. This is evidently a fallen angel working under the direction of Satan who operates as the "god of this world" (2 Corinthians 4:4
      ). The prince of Persia withstood the MESSENGER angel for twenty-one days (Daniel 10:13
      ) and hindered him from coming to Daniel. By this we know that the prince of Persia is of the evil one. This should not be surprising since Paul warned us, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12
      ). Principalities refer to the rule of princes. The prince of Persia was one of these principalities.
      These MESSENGER angels can either come to stop the progress of ones prayer or answer it. Daniel prayed and the MESSENGER angel did not come until the Persian Fallen ANgel was defeated

    • @fenixred1278
      @fenixred1278 Před 9 lety +3

      Yeah, I heard it was a messenger from Satan sent to try and divert Paul and lead other believers astray.

    • @asinamirror2253
      @asinamirror2253 Před 8 lety +5

      Nothing to do with sickness but weakness. If you are having trouble dealing with something you have a weakness and if you focus on the weakness instead of the grace to overcome you will pray in error as Paul did. God does not remove tribulations and persecution but gives you a grace that will be greater than the trouble. The word says Paul faced chains and beatings everywhere he went and this must have wore on Paul but he lost focus on grace and God reminded him, "My grace is sufficient."

    • @christinerobinson3362
      @christinerobinson3362 Před 7 lety +2

      Neidalee Rosa when we as believers are afflicted with with something it's nothing but satan testing your faith. They way you respond will determine which way this is gonna go. Satan's goal is to have you start saying things like " I have prayed and asked God and nothing happened" or " I must have done something wrong" and so on. What if stuff happens bc the devil is a jerk and out there seeking whom he may devour. If peter didn't know who he was in God the devil would have swallowed him up with lies like I mentioned above. Are we only running well when things go well or are we running well bc we know who we are regardless of what the devil is trying to throw our way.

    the only thing i do not agree with is calling God daddy and or papa ugh not reverent at all.
    Abba does not mean Daddy!
    The best rendering is “Dearest Father.” Harold Hoehner adds that while we as “Believers may address God with the endearing term (Abba) because He is "our Father," (we) should never use this term in the spirit of unsavory familiarity but with the full acknowledgement of His majesty.” Abba speaks of intimacy, tenderness, dependence, security and confidence in the Father's loving care. Hughes says the truth "that God is our Abba, Father is one we must cultivate for the sake of our soul's health." Indeed, when we can cry "Abba" even on our darkest days, we are saying in essence that we are willing to trust our Father's heart even when we cannot trace His ways.
    Never would i think to call God the Father something like papa or daddy. This is not something we would do to His face, then we should not be doing it on earth. Men cannot even stand before an angel, they fall flat on their face for the glory of the Lord our God that shines forth from them, how can we ever imagine to stand before God and call Him such a loose term as daddy or papa?

    • @PedroGonzalez-ke7pv
      @PedroGonzalez-ke7pv Před 8 lety +2

      It doesn't seem irreverent, when put in the context. Abba, at the time it was written, was a word used in apostles' time within a family context. Yes, the Father is great and majestic, but He has adopted us as His sons, giving us the ability ti call out to Him as Abba, our Father. As He becomes our Father in adoption.

    • @tammylevesque217
      @tammylevesque217 Před 8 lety +1

      +Pedro Gonzalez Abba is like Dearest Father in the Old Testament it is dearest Father in the Hebrew. Now then does it sound normal for Jesus to say daddy Father? That makes no sense whatsoever. Daddy Father I pray this or that thank you daddy father, or pappa father? Neither makes a lick of sense and Jesus did not use more words than needed.
      That all said though, I do not hold it against Dan Mohler i have never heard preaching such as his it is fabulous, and the Lord led me to Dan's teaching and or preaching, when i was in deep prayer to become love.

      Austin Smith he is wonderful as it all goes just totally fantastically understanding of our relationship with God, but i just go a little bonkers inside when someone calls God Daddy or Papa.
      it is just in my opinion, very irreverent. But with Dan it does not turn me away from listening to him.
      Everyone else as soon as i hear them say it, I'm done listening to them.

    Whatever happened to the testimony of the Pharisee that implored God to forgive him for being such a sinner, as opposed to the Dan Mohler like Pharisee that says I'm so glad I'm so righteous in God's eyes, yada yada? This is not the first time I've heard Mohler to spout this false teaching.

    • @ezrarobinson7078
      @ezrarobinson7078 Před 7 lety +4

      Are we not made righteous by the blood of Jesus? Wouldn't you be glad in something as amazing as that? Did Dan say it's by his own works? The pharisees had an amazing knowledge of the word but they did not know him intimately. They were jealous and full of pride.

    • @andrewchurney8864
      @andrewchurney8864 Před 6 lety +7

      It wasn't the Pharisee beating his chest and repenting, it was the publican (criminal, sinner). The Pharisee despised the publican, thanking God that he wasn't like him, and boasted then in his own works.
      If you think Dan is a Pharisee, you either haven't payed much attention to what he actually preaches, or you are seriously deceived as to what the term means and how Dan preaches the Gospel against everything even resembling a Pharisee.
      I have met the man in person and he is as Christlike as anyone you will ever encounter.
