I listen to this song everyday of my life since I discovered it at the French restaurant I work at, on January 28, 2023 at 5:20pm central time. They took it off streaming services a few days ago & I’ve been having to come to CZcams everyday to listen to my favorite song ever. I don’t mind it because the music video gives me goosebumps. I love this song & video so much. I would love nothing more than to see them live.
I'm so sad they stopped making music together. This is one of my favorites along with Instantané and other great ones they have. If someone could direct me to other great music like this I'd be eternally grateful. I could write a whole essay on how this song gets to me on many different emotions

It's very metaphorical
It's hard to translate it in english but the lyrics are beautiful.
The song is about a girl going to a party at night and how she feels the next morning. Lyrics are very soft and elusive. But the video shows the difference between today’s Parisian nightlife and how it was in May 1968 (which was a major student strike at the time). May 1968 is a milestone in French culture and subconscious, regarding civil liberties and mind-openness. So this song is kind of drawing a parallel between our generation and the time of our parents.
That’s what the lady in the video is referring to when she talks of “protests”

When i come back again to find this group and song, often forgetting.. i can see myself as a confident middle aged male, loseing all inhibitions if this song were to play aloud anywhere.. when beats and rhythms are done right.. let go of what people "think" and ENJOY the smaller pockets of happiness WHEREVER you can find it.. i got from the video, that the older woman IS doing this, remembering her younger days of carelessness of the song played, almost a flashback of her former self

In Europe we have "lock ins" usually running at the end of a live show where the band hangs out with the regulars of the bar, locals to the area or friends of the bar staff, who might also be musicians- bringing a variety of instruments of their own and every so often you hear songs similar to this coming out of the woodwork being played by complete strangers who mightn't of known each other just an hour previously. Singing songs of the lives of the people around them they've just been talking to.
