  • The Classic, inspired by the post-war model G2 350 Bullet, was introduced to the world in 2008. It went on to capture the collective imagination of leisure motorcycling enthusiasts worldwide and soon became an icon. The All New Classic 350 carries forward this tradition of a vintage, old-school design built around a simple, dependable engine. Here is the story of the Classic. To know more, visit Royalenfield.com/classic

The only question I ask to the Royal Enfield company is why did you discontinued the Classic 500 ? The new engine which you built for the 350 series, you could have designed a 500 as well. It was the most lovable engine from us 500 owners who have always respected and loved the classic 500 and we still love it till this date. It pains not being able to buy the new 500 now. The company should listen to its customers about that as well. Don’t keep the classic in just 350 category. Please bring back the old Classic 500 with the same concept of a newly designed and a refined engine. That would be deeply appreciated.

    1. Great video. New classic RE really looks awesome in all aspects except one (will come to that). The crome variants are really eye catchers. Also RE put good efforts to give a digital display of trip odo meter & fuel indicator.
    2. RE still have scope and opportunity to improve in this area. Let me put in bullet points :
    a. The digital display placement is not that nice. If the larger bolt in older classic is used for joining the handle and chassis, then RE compromised on the handle strength.
    b. RE could use the earlier battery indicator display for digital display instead of making it TbT navigator. In that small circle it could provide "RE welcome logo" when it is switched on, gear indicator, trip odo meter (1 & 2), fuel indicator, average mileage, fuel range, torque (can be beautifully accommodated at outermost of the circle) and compass as well. I am not saying all info at one time, but 2/3 data points on each change of display with a click of button.
    c. Don't know why RE is promoting TbT navigator so badly. It is a complete waste of money and misutilization of space. It anyways uses the phone and ph's battery. A rider either within a city or highway hardly needs it. Rider would rather like to have a view of some part of map along with turns. If at all rider needs to use his/her phone battery, then google maps free app serves this better than RE app. along with traffic condition. Also riders usually check the entire route before they start from home. So they know after how long they need to look for turns.
    3. Also would like to add that on Himalayan also the RE TbT navigator is forcefully integrated. It is not even optional like in RE classic. Ruined its look with an extra money.

    @TomFlaTTop_BMW Před 6 měsíci

I bought my 2014 Royal Enfield Classic 500 several years ago, because I wanted to own & experience an authentic vintage motorcycle from the 1940's or '50's, without the expected drawbacks & downsides of a bike that was actually built at that time, like oil leaks from pre-unitary construction engines, and having to maintain, tune, or adjust points ignitions and carburettors. Even though the modern UCE Enfields have virtually maintenance free fuel injection and electronic ignitions, the Indians were savvy enough to cunningly disguise the injection throttle bodies with the appearance of a single throat carburettor. Good enough to fool an old fellow aged in his 80's who approached me recently, saying he'd owned a Royal Enfield 500 back when he was a young lad and had fond memories of it. He gave the whole bike a VERY close inspection, including the "carburettor", then gave me a pat on the back, complimenting me on a splendid job on the restoration, asking how long it took to restore, and whether it was a 1950's or early 60's model. He didn't notice the front brake disk, which is the only external visual clue to it's modern origins, and looked astonished when I told him it was built in India in 2014, pointing out the fuel injection, front disc, and UCE engine.
No other company, anywhere in the world, offers a motorcycle that essentially IS a 1940's -'50's bike, built essentially as it always was, with only a few concessions to modern legalities so discreetly implemented that past owners & riders of Enfields FROM that time can't tell, in a package SO reasonably priced. I love BMW Motorcycles also, but currently the only BMW that has the same 'retro' styling & image is the R18, which appearance aside, is a completely modern motorcycle with fancy electronic crap like "stability control", "torque control", "hill start control", "traction control".... I'm starting to wonder if it needs a rider at all? .... and priced at over $35K. The last Enfield 500's were still under $10K. You could buy nearly FOUR for the price of an R18, which only pretends to be an old skool bike. Anybody who feels they NEED all those electronic "nanny aids" to ride a motorcycle, has no place being on a 1.8 litre (1800cc) monster of a bike, and anybody with the experience to handle one no sweat, shouldn't WANT all that unnecessary crap just waiting to malfunction at the worst time & place.
The Enfield Classic 500 is not a retro, vintage-style modern motorcycle. It's an actual vintage motorcycle that they've managed to keep building & looking like it always was, modified only enough to keep them legal and discreetly enough so you can't tell, for a price that even those with limited means can aspire to own one.
That's why I love mine and they can take it from me when they can pry my cold, dead hands off the handlebars.
    By the way, Royal Enfield.....
I noticed the latest Classic 350 has a digital electronic display in it's gauge cluster. My 2014 model only has an analogue gauge display that looks EXACTLY like the "Smiths" speedometers found on most vintage English bikes.... PERFECT. If you'll pardon the pun, I think fitting a digital display on the "Classic" model bikes a retro step, as it looks totally out of place on a bike that deliberately invokes a 1940's - '50's styling image and riding experience. I want to FEEL like I'm riding a vintage bike on my Classic model Enfield. I don't recall liquid crystal displays being a feature of bikes from that era, and that's the first thought I'd have every time I look at it. Although I'm sure Royal Enfield management could argue til the cows come home why they feel it necessary to fit it, I won't be listening. It would probably annoy me enough to fit an earlier unit like mine to preserve my mental health, and send the latest LCD unit back to the company, after I'd taken a hammer to it.

The new classic 350 is good.. We love our bullet, it was a middle class dream bike and now it is no more ! We four cousins bought classic 350 back in 2016 and i have ridden it 55K kms so far, and another cousins completed 1Lakh kms, see it was a dream bike to buy bullet for many years from school days (by looking at people who ride in our village, you know how it feels seeing a person riding bullet in our childhood), i know buying bullet is like buying an elephant and feeding it and should not buy if you can't do that, however we loved the ride and everything but always complaint about the bike quality and service. Its not worth for the hard earned money we spent. The tapped noise, service cost, vibration (nothing to say like vibration it's a feeling and blah blah blah, because as a bullet bike lover , we exactly know how it feels), the pillion seat, and in the name of vintage not adding any features. I felt like selling my bike many times but it's my first bike and bought it with lots of love and passion to riding, so that feeling didn't allowed me to sell. Many times i scolded Royal Enfield for giving such low quality bike to its customers with overprice because there was no competition back then. Now after 5 years, by looking back at my experiences and what Royal Enfield is doing with their new bikes (changing a color and increasing the price, really !! Many things like how cars and mobile manufacturers market) and everything, i came to a decision that I'll just change the oil and ride and do only the service what is necessary that is most important.
Now if I have to choose RE , then I'll go for 650cc or from a middle class family I'll sacrifice my dream and go for a bike that is priced less with better options. This comment is from my heart, and i know riders out there who love bullet has the same opinion ! This is not a story for highness or any other bike whenever RE launches a new bike, when the interceptor was launched we were very happy and I love the Himalayan , i can't take my eyes off from Himalayan , meteor with the new engine is good, so the new classic 350. I love how the RE bikes looks, it's naked, vintage, appealing look and many things. But, you look at quality of bike and service they were giving with classic 350 and standard 350 and the price they are selling the bike so far, yes I understand the money inflation on the materials and all other products that causes the hike in price. But, are they really worth ! One of my cousin brother using a diesel bullet and he love the Standard 350, so he is still waiting for a new engine in standard 350 from very long time. We write poems about our bullet and rides. That is the love we carry for bullet and more. It's not a story what we want to say about RE bikes when a new bike is launched but it's the bitter truth !You may be seen many haters for RE bikes but we are just disappointed RE bullet lovers at some aspects ! My brother in law wanted to buy a used clsssic 350 and i said all these things to him and asked him to not to buy and may go for new classic 350, but the price is high so it is not affordable for him, but still he says "I'll use my other bike go to work and use Bullet only to go some occasion and functions, i love this bullet"' , so I want bullet. Then i said OK go ahead, we can get a used bullet from someone who maintained it as like i maintained but keep all this in mind! It is the bitter truth !

I wish you bring back the Royal enfield standard 350 with left side brakes in new attitude. I still own and run my old machine with pride and it has been impossible for me to adapt to the new right side brake bullets. I am hoping you will revamp the real bullet some day.

No offense intended. I was born with the perception of motorcycle with Harley-Davidson in mind until I see Royal Enfield. Especially RE Classics, for us regular people price plays an important role and the Classic 350 has the basic needs of affordability and functionality and plus, the design is just simple to outlast anything. Just bought my used RE Classic 350 a few days ago and I plan to buy a brand new one once I am used to this one. I think I am gonna be a life-time RE fan. Thank you, from Burma, Myanmar.

Why can’t you guys design beautiful seats like they have in triumph & Harleys while you have such facilities, don’t you have eyes or you don’t know or have that heart to realise how fantastic BULLET can look.

Evolution of classic is good 👍 But , Evolution in the timed delivery of bikes, to customers will be a era changing.
    So, Focus on that also.

I am torn between the two. Which would you recommend for a first time rider? Everybody says the Meteor 350 is better built and more comfortable to ride, but I can't get over how amazing the classic 350 looks. I need a reliable and stylish classic bike. They are similar prices here in the UK; which one should I choose?
