හොට් බටර් කියපු ගමන් අපිට මතක් වෙන්නෙ කට්ල් ෆිෂ්නෙ. ඒ විදියටම රසට හදාගන්න පුලුවන් වෙජිටේරියන් ඩිෂ් එකක් තමයි මේ හොට් බටර් මල් ගෝවා. පොඩි චයිනීස් ආභාෂයකුත් එකතු කරගෙන අපේ රසට සැරට හදාගන්න පුලුවන් රසවත් ආහාරයක්. ඇතුලෙ තියන්නෙ මොනවද කියල නොපෙනෙන තරමට පිටි තවරගෙන බදින්නෙ නැතුව මේ විදිහට හැදුවොත් රස වගේම ඕනෙම කෑම මේසෙකට ලස්සනට පිළිගන්වන්නත් ඔයාලට පුලුවන්. බත් එක්ක විතරක් නෙමේ බයිට් එකක් විදිහටත් සුපිරි..🍻
ඉතින් කැමති ඔයාලට හදන විදිහ පැහැදිලිව මේ වීඩියෝවෙන් බලන්න පුළුවන්.
For Marination ,
Cauliflower 250g
Corn Flour තිරිඟු පිටි 2-3tbsp
One Egg බිත්තරයක්
Chilli Powder මිරිස් කුඩු 1/2 tsp
Salt for taste ලුණු රස අනූව
Turmeric Powder කහ කුඩු 1/2 tsp
Crushed Pepper ගම්මිරිස් කුඩු 1/2 tsp
For Sauce :
Butter බටර් 2 tbsp
Oil little bit තෙල් ස්වල්පයක්
Chilli Paste චිලි පේස්ට් 2 tbsp
Soy sauce සෝයා සෝස් 1tbsp
Ginger and Garlic ඉගුරු, සුදු ලුණු1/2 tsp each
Tomato sauce තක්කලි සෝස්1tbsp
Suger for taste සීනි රස අනූව
One onion cut as rounds ලූණු ගෙඩියක් රවුමට කපා
Curry Leaves කරපිංචා
Bell pepper cut thinly අවශ්‍ය නම් සිහින්ව කැපු මාලු මිරිස් කරලක්
Spring Onion 2 or 3 ලූණු ගස් 2_3 ක්
Few Dried Chilies වියලි මිරිස් කීපයක්.

When the rest of the world is going vegan, it is wonderful that the Sinhalese, (who were vegan in the days of yore), should now say that this kind of dish is particularly for (Egg) Vegetarians....?

Yes, in culinary , it still belongs to the vegetarian category, not just eggs, milk, honey, and other byproducts that do not involve the slaughter of animals.
Egg is simply considered vegetarian because it contains no meat OR life.
It sounds bizarre because eggs develop to give chickens so…? Well, most of the eggs that are sold at our grocery stores and markets are unfertilised eggs, meaning there's barely a chance that these eggs would have hatched to give chickens. However, it all depends on the personal choice. That's why some people skip the free-range eggs , (also know as ගම් බිත්තර) because they believe it got life..
So remember it is not a Sinhalese thing, as you mentioned . Whether you are a Muslim or Tamil or belong to any race, things are still the same as I mentioned.😊
Also FUI : I am a professional Chef who studied, worked, and lived in Australia for last nineteen years. So, I believe I, belong to that rest of the world category.
Also, you can simply skip the egg here and replace it with water. Because for me you sound vegan. Thank you. Have a nice day. 😊
