Everyone praises Bill Paxton but it’s Helen Hunt who deserves all the praises. Love her! Dr. Jo Harding is fantastic!
Well if you think about it, Bill Paxton has been in alot of movies and we know his name and face very well (most of the movies he's in are ones we've watched quite alot). For Helen Hunt we know her name and face.

I’m surprised that no one recognizes that Alexa Vega is in this very beginning of the movie before she became recognized in Spy Kids movies and later marry to one the Big Tim Rush members
When I first watched the Spy Kids movies and the opening of this movie I didn't know who Alexa Vega was, but when I rewatched both movies again (I've watched Twister alot) and did a Wikipedia search of the cast of Spy Kids and looked at Alexa Vega and went down to the list of movies she's been in and I reliazed that the girl I saw in Spy Kids was also in Twister as well.
Well she was only 8 here, spy kids she was 13
We're going to cinemas with this one. It's a sequel or reboot or whatever you call that we are all gonna watch, Twisters!
It's a standalone sequel.

I love the original one as well and have watched it quite alot, I'm gonna see Twisters today but even though alot of people are saying they like this new movie I'll probably have a different opinion about it
Why did they cut the bit with dad watching twister report on tv? And they also cut the weather station "its gonna be a long day"

Hate to say it but I agree. Not that we haven't had great films since but the magic is gone.

I remember seeing the actress who played Jo's mother in an episode of Grey's Anatomy about 8 years after Twister came out.
I remember when we had this movie on VHS and I saw this opening scene and I was just completely terrified
He didn't even have to hold on- that door did nothing 😂 also mama would've been the better choice to hold it if they felt they had to keep it closed 🚪 🌪️

i know right? this scene always confused me as its completely unnecessary for the dad to be holding the door closed. but the script writers determined that it would be better if Jo's dad died in order to put reason behind Jo's motivations.
@@Punisher6791 I guess you can argue that he was acting on instinct to protect his family. But you think the family would be be yelling at him to get away from the door, especially when you consider that this isn't their first rodeo with a tornado so yeah, it makes little sense.
Surely if you can't hold on for much longer... let go of the door 🤦♂😂
