As part of "Mike Month" on BabyFaceBren, a classic 'Comedy Bang! Bang!' compilation, featuring Mike Hanford as his most popular character, resurrected Beatle John Lennon, in all the holiday spectaculars and CBB anniversary shows in which Mike's John appeared.
Note: I didn't use the 10th anniversary episode, more a celebration than a party. The crazy episodes with friends of the show crammed into one studio, all trying to be heard are like no other. For the full hilarious episodes, join Comedy Bang! Bang! World (and check out my 4 Christmas compilations, 2020).
This one was meant to be pretty basic, though there is one episode that inspired some silliness. I just got lost for a day having fun and making the party resemble Thomas the Tank Engine's retirement affair, but apart from that surreal segment, the images are mostly static, a nice alternative to a blank screen.

I love how you can “carbon-date” the approximate era of individual clips by choice of catchphrase: “one time” vs “it’s been a while.” (Also the catchphrases that don’t get said, eg “people on the street” passing without even a murmur at 40:17.)
Yeah, it's funny you say that. On the first listen through, when I heard "people on the street", I thought I must look for that grab I used in one of the videos recently. I edited Scott saying it with Freddie and Bowie singing it. Because of the timing, that few seconds took about an hour to cut and I didn't want to do it again so I was just going to snip out the one I did, but I couldn't remember WHICH video I did it for and as this was supposed to be a basic video, I didn't bother with it. Even the ding and MY "it's been"s with Barenaked Ladies where Scott WOULD'VE done it one time (one time) were more than I planned. But I was thinking the same thing. There's a distinctive before and after the "silliness" for Scott. And in the Ming video, there's even the transition period where instead of repeating the words, Scott just makes a whiny noise with the same inflection! Also in the first segment of this video, Ho Ho (Ho Ho) and Cake Boss (Cake Boss) try an "it's been" and Scott shuts them down. It's like one day he just put his long pants on. But it's funny how you still hear the sayings in your head. I think Scott should do one ep a year when they just let loose with all the old catchphrases. i think it could be funny.
44:30 I think it's so funny that while people are solemnly remembering their idol John Lennon at Strawberry Fields, he just walks up and starts signing autographs. It'd be a surprise (though they'd probably just think it was some crazy fan in a white suit and fake beard)

@@iconoclast137 I do that with podcasts . I find it comforting to listen while I drift off, but a bugger the next day finding the last bit I heard! But when I have just uploaded a new video I do like to take that baby to bed (is that inschest?)

Yeah, Aquarius is the water carrier, not the water-breather, but in Mike's defense, apart from when he is running marathons, how often do you think he carries water? Whereas, one may easily presume, he drinks like a fish.
