Very nice video thank you. 😊
Clean space.
Remote targets : subtle adjustments.
Close targets : wide shoulder based adjustments.
Main death cause, gun fight -> practice aim and pixel placement. Shot by surprise -> practice situational awareness.
Always aim at potential targets.
What do you think about ADS sensitivity ?
I think every FPS should provide a setting for constant screen/mousepad ratio. So that whatever the scope the same point on the monitor should be reached with the same exact mouse travel. 😅
Also a basketball analogy is also to check the precise result of your throw. as it’s not a binary result, was it too high/left… ?
And finally, about the mindset, there is a time to practice consciously a skill. But in real conditions, a clear border must be set between skill and will, ie « shoot there » not « maybe change your mouse grip slightly ».
Thanks Greg, always appreciate you helping the community in any way you can. Learn something from every one of your vids.
Thanks for that narration

Another overlooked aspect is that it’s okay to be bad at the game. Don’t let your toxic random teammates or even your friends get to you when you mess up. It’s all for fun. Keep playing and improving and take a few tips here and there.
I love what you did with the sponsor. It felt entertaining to watch and I feel like you made the points you had to hit your own.
Something important to notice is the difference between different FPS games sensitivities due to their engines.
If you play lots of FPS games and keep switching between them, you need to use a Sensitivity conversor online to transfer the one you feel most comfortable with to other shooters.
The engine plays a huge part though. For instance, I played Apex legends for about 1-2 years. That game felt WEIRD aim-wise. I couldn't find a sensitivity that felt comfortable. I used a website to convert my CoD and BF sens (which I had really really good aim) to Apex, and still, it felt sluggish. Thats because of the game engine.
Im glad my siege aim is really good, I just have issues controlling recoil cause my desk is really small D:
Sometimes you're built for more fast paced games like Cod or BF. Sometimes for more "tactical", micro aim games like Siege or CS.
Remember that people. There's no point trying all the different coffees in a Coffee shop if your stomach has issues with caffeine. Just go drink something else instead of forcing it into your system.
Also one more thing: Gather and provide as much intel as you could so that you can always be prepared with your aim and crosshair placement.
It happened quite some time when I was literally spooked by someone coming from somewhere I didn't expect because I wasn't aware of that. My aim was all around the place when that happends lmao.
I love playing support for my mates on finka or zofia and watching them win every entry engagement 🙏🙏🙏
that and if you give calls feel free to call the stance too, my teammates have gotten so many easy kills just by me going "he's crouched", "he's lying down". Either having intel for yourself where to aim or giving that intel to teammates helps so much with getting easy picks on people, even more so if you're prefiring someone.
that's totally true but i think that's more of a game sense thing than an aim thing
Pre aiming
Gregor can you make a guide on squad play? Like roles each person should play or how to coordinate a push or defense.
Oh man this please, I’m the least experienced person in my group and I don’t often know my job
Best tip is always positivity. I hate that I love this game sometimes but I’ve managed to not tilt in a while and when I take a fat L I take a second and just relax and play again. It makes the game 10x more enjoyable and helps me play better cuz I’m not upset about the 1-5 game I just played.
A really good tip for translating aimlab/kovaaks to r6. Disable the right click ADS in the settings, then do EVERY task holding down right click. Most of the time you spend aiming in siege, you're holding right click to ADS. This changes your grip and how you move your mouse. Also try dynamic clicking and tracking.
Going through t-hunt and forcing myself to ads vast majority of the time hitting only headshots really helped with my aim. Using a DMR helps self-enforce.
RIP T-Hunt
@@AuxiliaryPanther RIP.

great tips as always, really love the way you explain stuff and break it down
"Harry Potter-looking twink in a rugby shirt" fully sent me. The recent videos have been excellent, congrats on another great one.
I was losing motivation in siege after always losing gunfights but now after watching this video I'm gonna really work on practicing my aim this season
found you back in year 3 and still making solid content on the game. getting back into it because of jynxi
When you made that “keep your eye on the ball” analogy, it clicked! It’s so obvious, but I never really thought about it that way! My aims not terrible and I have a decent reaction time but I’m always dying because I’m looking away from the center of my screen trying to take in too much info.
Been watching for years and I’m still learning from you. Thanks man 👍
I have watched a lot of videos of how to improve in this game and this is the first one that actually helped me
Banger video Greg!
As a 6'3 guy with zero athletic ability I felt the flashback at the beginning very hard
Awesome video. You explains things very well and in such an intelligent manner
I feel like my aim is so tied to composure, or rather, lack-thereof. I spend hours upon hours in the shooting range, T-hunt, and FFA. My aim is sharp without the added stressors in which a real game entails, but the second I get get shot at, or know I need to swing on someone, my aim is left in shambles. I can aim train all day long but I wish there was a more direct way to practice having better composure in a gunfight.
I’m similar. Sometimes I play insane and then the next game or session I struggle to get a kill. I guess a lot of it is just dependant on how you can improve your confidence and mental
My method is to take a deep breath to reset your mind.
Maybe play a Quick Match in between your aiming sessions? Hop off the QM and go back to the session etc...
Me too lmao, I noticed that I’m so much more confident when I either know where someone is myself, or when I have good coms
deathmatch bro literally getting shot every 4 seconds
I like to use the FFA or the random gun playlist. This way i can practice map knowledge, angles, human movement, sound, and crosshair placement. It is also nice to bring friends into it before actual matches so everyone gets to flex their muscles and feel good then everyone is hyped to go.
Glad you mentioned aim vs game sense. I used to think my aim was a lot worse, but then I realized that most people are “good” at aiming because they know exactly where I am before rounding the corner.
I’ve pulled off some of the most disgusting kills ever by just using a drone before rounding the corner lol
Biggest takeaway was the mindset aspect. So many times, I find myself complaining about people with better mechanics and I start shittalking them for being better when they're simply good at it because they've invested time in it.
It becomes a downward spiral from that point because I get killed by mechanically gifted players so I categorized myself as someone who can never aim like them, and I funnel myself into operators that give me an advantage in that department (Monty and Glaz)
My worst mindset I ever developed in this game was, "if I cannot enter the building nor take map control without dying every time I face someone, I will just go Monty to not get shot in the first place."
Then it creates bad habits like mine where I become a Monty Main.
cause my hands are cold
Could mean bad circulation. Try resting your arms on something soft instead of the table surface
Space heater!
If you cross your legs at all while you play, it can do it. Limits circulation and leaves your fingers/toes colder.
@@spook407 nah it’s because i’m a student and we can’t afford heating
@@joecrawford5876I go to the sink and put my hands under hot water for a bit
Thanks G love you
You touched on this, about health . use grippers. Your hands have so much going on and making them stronger will also just improve reaction , better single from your brain to your hands. Good tips for everyone over all
Incredible video
definitely agree about crosshair placement. i played on my schools r6 team this year and one glaring problem i had was pointing my crosshair too far down. Then I started practicing, and started dying to obvious frost mats 🤣
Ah the trade off for getting better at aiming....frost mats and kapkan traps
Love your videos dude, great tips for players of every level. But particularly for my friends whom I want to play with me 😅
greg got that toggle at 12:47 lmao
Keep that educational content comin' dude! I need all the help my dusty old bones can get lol
epic vid, me learn both new and old stuff i forgor. thx grerg
love the .8 advice
Best siege content creator that we have left
I was completely noob in aiming before Siege, I was literally dogshit. My DPI reach 2000, that I can done 360 with one movement of my wrist. Then I just started learning, the most painful struggle was changing my mouse's movements from only wrist to full shoulder on lower DPI. So after around 2k hours in multiplayer and almost 1k hours in lone wolf/trainig grounds I can confirm: You can learn any DPI you want with satisfying results. But You need: time, patient and everyday exercise.
What helped me when i started siege and wanted to get better at aiming was getting used to my prefered mouse sens:
For that i went into a custom game on
- Coastline and started as attacker, at the front site and started flicking 180° to exactly aim at the door behind me to be pin point accurate.
Did it several times until i got used to it and more accurate and if the sensivity felt wrong for me i changed it up a bit.
After that i copied my settings and went into aimlab Gridshot to get faster and more accurate
And then i just do T-Hunts.
Gridshot on Aimlab and T-Hunts afterwards are still my Go To for warming up.
This video makes me miss T-Hunt, it's a perfect simulated scenario for learning and warming up.
BRO SAID CONSCIENTIOUS LMAOOOO (no fr ily these vids are great)
10:25 Most of the times, it's about latency. I go to replays and see if the other one was cheating and it's simply my shots being registered less. The difference is felt most when the enemy is sitting next to the server with 12ms ping and I'm stuck at 70ms. I can literally feel hits being unregistered.
Yeah this became a problem for last gen consoles while new gen has a huge advantage.
i think i'm the same type. i like to stay back, always have the biggest scope on a weapon and my sensitivity has always been on the lower side, because i always panic in up-close encounters and with high sensitivity i'd be doing 720-degree neurotic chaos flicks.
The lean/pixel angle explanation just reminds me of cars "turn left to go right"
Hey, in the pixel peek scenario, shouldn't you peek the in the opposite direction? Like, the enemy might be able to see your body before you see them, especially if your peek isn't super tight.
Lean in the direction you're moving, lean towards where the enemy will come from, so that your head is always first, right?
Goddamnit, Gregor hooked me enough to watch a sponsorship.
It basically took me about 2,000 hours in Siege to be okay at aiming. Siege is the only FPS I played that seriously, so I just naturally got better at aiming through gameplay like you mentioned in the video.
I don't think the difference between cas and comp is necessarily what you said, i think it is just different ideas of fun. Some people love to get as mechanically good as possible while others love for funny moments doing random shit, and i personally go through phases of both lol
Bro Gregor did you just call yourself a “Harry Potter looking Twink” 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Thank you someone understands, and lets people know that skill comes with practice no easy way out.
Just take time to practice, and learn from your mistakes sooner or later you'll became the person you can be.
Edit here: Thank you Thank you Thank you! For speaking the truth I've done this for years, and no one will listen to me but I know people will listen to you.
Greg, you ain’t gotta do all that skibidi stuff
Sub 15 second skibidi toilet reference is not the speed run I was expecting Gregor to win
Well that's an aggressive title
i'm so jealous of that Y1S1 copper charm all i have is a lousy plat
You said to always fix your eyes on the crosshair, i’ve seen a popular aim video say you should keep your eyes on your target. Thoughts?
Gregor for prez
what do i do when my hipfire is rather good, but as soon as i ADS i become super inconsistent
Hey Greg needing advice! (The wholesome side of R6 please!!) so I go up against a player no matter the rank, console ect, and I come from like call of duty, gears of war ect. So should I burst fire? Or full auto? Or use more close range shotguns? I don’t think I’m useful so I personally play ball or anything that can actually impact the team even if I’m dead
Tbh I don’t really warm up or do fun range practices.
I just hop on casual and play some matches to get the day started 😂
“Your ergonomics are bad”
Me who plays on console: “I don’t have such weaknesses.”
For real though, when I bought siege my aim was beyond terrible. That’s actually the reason I bought it, I heard somewhere you could win by strategy even if your aim sucked. (Kapkan was my main for those first few months 😂) About a year later, and a whole lot of Gregor videos, and I’m so much better. I’m not pro level by any means of course, but I can actually hit what I’m aiming at consistently now and even pull off some epic TDM plays sometimes. I still worry a lot about missing my shots, but I just tell myself to do my best and it usually works out. These tips are awesome, but overall there’s only three things you really need to get better: time, practice and mindset.
Honestly for me in particular it took me til Advanced Warfare to get decent at FPS games, and black ops 3 to get genuinely good ,and ive been playing fps games since killzone on Jampack demo discs lmao.
It takes time yall,we all start somewhere. You just gotta keep at it ( ^ω^)
In the words of Zyzz; We're gonna make it brah
Did you say that you’re arm rests are level with your desk or did I misunderstand. I’ve tried that to see if elbow aiming could fix my jittery aim, but found the arm rests annoying when they hit the desk
I'm a pretty decent natural aimer but I still thank you for making these videos. Do you know where I could get into community comp btw?
I don't even know why I watched this besides liking your videos in general. I don't even try to win.
If you could see my very low tech wardrobe PC station you would laugh asf 😂. Anyway still comfortable :)
an other thing is what you think when you play, an exaple is you think about your test for tomorrow or you think about what someone say to you like you trash or you dont know how to play and this stuff and you cant concentrate on the game.
I use controller on PC because I’m left handed and struggle with keybinds on siege. Just too many buttons required
Muscle memory and regular memory. Cross hair placement.
Damn bruh, you're a beltalowda fr
something makes me feel like he didn’t really sink those baskets
Not even playing this game anymore until the new season starts. It's stupid they delayed the new season (on the day of) and didn't extend the old season.
Hey Gregor, can we get another "Your rank doesnt matter" Video?
Crosshair placement has to be what baffles me the most when watching other people. Genuinely, what is the point of aiming at the ground? Literally just lift your aim up and you'll win double the gunfights, at least.
Black ice ridge wallet when?
Small bake? Everyone just calls it wedding

The ergonomics is kinda killing Mr I’m 6’5 at 16 and I got my gaming setup at 12 I have to keep re adjusting my pc setup
You absolutely have to be genetically blessed to be good at shooters. I was born with absolute disgust towards moving my mouse across entire table. I play with high dpi and high sense, my mouse barely covers 7 cm² square while I play. I also don't own a mat
My aim suck, expecially when i'm cold or when i play with my friend on console
Bros built like Beltalowda. Pashang!
no way greg plays 40k
I would ask how to fix aging stoner brain aim but I am simply not interested in the solution. xD
What about controllers?
These comments are so embarrasing, so much denial and wounded egos. Unless you are Beaulo your aim does in fact suck. This video was good.
Idk why I always watch these hoping for some.miracle answer. All of this is correct but damn I wish my aim was better. Been playing pretty consistently since beta... On PlayStation. Aim is so bad I'm considering switching to siege on PC. When I play counter strike my aim is sick on PC. If only I could translate to console
Dude I was a siege god but I stopped for like a year and now I suck ass and now I’m sad
I don’t play on m&k I play on the sticks with a TV
"you all are idiot"
perfect.
ok but tile frenzy is fun
“WhAt sHoUlD mY DesK LoOk lIkE if i pLaY cOnSoLe, G”
🤓☝️
Peter Griffin should be added to seige.
100 Hours💀
Honestly, if i could play for a solid few hours and not need to step away a lot I'd probably start to actually get better. But i can never dedicate my brain power to siege as a father of 2 under 2.
My problem is that I had a lot more time that I could spend playing video games a couple years ago and I used to be good. Now I have almost no time for gaming but I still think I should be able to play like I used to. I can't. When slow down and try to be more methodical I do better but it's a conscious effort and I don't always remember. Oh well. Having a kid will do that to you I guess.
The words you uttered, they upset me
You lost me at skibidi gods
I got 400hours on siege and my aim is still shit but I have IMPROVED so so so much and I can really see that. Currenly recoil controll and preplaced aim is an issue for me but I also get acused for being plat and diamond so idk
edit: I dont like grinding ranks so I played the 10 placement matches in ranked 1.0 (god bless its soul) and I got copper so getting acused for being a diamond smurf is like the best compliment ever so yeah Im a bronze or copper or whatever and noobs think thats not true :)
- I also play on a gaming laptop with shitty wifi and an ergonomic mouse
To be brutally honest the only helpful thing in this vid is crosshair placement and a lil on practice, the only thing that i full watched is crosshair placement and the story from comfort zone. I believe comfort zone, space, and ergonomics doesn't matter and some what meaningless I've seen people playing with the worse setup sitting in the floor and a whole bunch of trash in their desk and they still play better than most people. For practice idk about that you already playing the game thats already practicing, just keep playing to be more comfortable dont worry about making mistakes thats how you adapt play better overtime. Overall the vid is really good but the problem is this the same default dialog as most of the damn how to get better aim
Wait I can’t just blame lag?????
I won’t let that cringe with the ridge wallet plug slide
Nah my aim is good, but I just react slow af lol, everyone I play with tells me, and I see it in replays too
Just fuck around in the shooting range for 5-10 mins and do 5 T hunts (only go for headshots) before you play ranked. That's all I've been doing after taking a long ass break and I've gotten better aim pretty quick
What if I'm God teir
