1974 was a different planet.
This is what Lassiters was like before Paul Robinson turned it all gastro.
"I think we've heard enough from you" SHUT DOWN. haha
2:26 She should have asked John Lennon for his thoughts...he walked right behind the fella she was talking to.
She's killing the vibe
Jesus, i would've never thought women werent allowed in bars during that time. Crazy
They talk gentlemen saying they don't wanna swear in front of women and she says they're afraid of women oh my lord!
Kind of off topic but the first thing I noticed was how similar their accents sounded to British ones to me- I thought they were in the UK until I realized this was featured by the ABC. Nowadays the distinction between accents is much clearer, to me anyway.
"it's not me hand it's only me finger" had me laughing pretty damn hard. Wow, this was a twisted place to be in time.
"I believe we've heard enough from you." lololololol been told that a tyme or two
Just LV the accents " let up" have not heard that slang since my grandmother use to use it I can understand why there was the lady saloon
What a pleasant ray of sunshine she is.
Why would anyone not want someone like her around while trying to relax?

I was born in this era I’m afraid to say
Crazy to think there men were all in their 20s
im not allowed into a fernwood gym
At that time I was a young married man with long hair. I avoided these places and men like the plague they probably thought I was.
The beginning
Men looking for a space to be men. It's odd to see now but I guess I understand what they're trying to say. Some of those fellas are mad crude though.
The fact she can't understand that they don't want to act disrespectful in front of women says a lot about them
Definitely not I remember back 1972 I was about 16 years women were definitely not aloud in public bars with men till the 80s they did it and still do course disruption amounts patrons especially around night Clubs unfortunately it's a difference world now women think there above men nar not by a long shot us men are world best Australians bar drinkers by far have one for the road 👍👍👍👍
Not the best place to order a cosmo I reckon...
Ah, the time when every man was automatically right - except perhaps when another man disagreed with him... and that is how the fights started 🙂
Back then it wasn’t acceptable to swear in front of women, now women swear more than men.
Wow, this hasn't aged well.
What's the difference between women as patrons and women as bar workers.
That guy was creeeeeeeeeepyyyy...
if they only knew
The year I was born,an Australia 🇦🇺 Long gone 😟
What the journalist said at the end.
Meanwhile in Russia women flying to space since 1963...
If she were attractive I doubt they would have minded as much.
I was 20 then with long hair. Male. Probably would not have been served in that bar either. Thank goodness those days are gone.
Drunk husbands trying to forget about women
Blokes could be blokes in a bar. Then the women walked in!!
Arrr the good ole days. Should be more places like this today! Men should be allowed to have their own spaces free of women. And vice versa.
no place for fun anymore
Worst policy ever
This is reminds me of the modern Liberal Party.
Back when men actually had respect for women as to not swear in front of them.
Conclusion:- men are terrified of women..............
it’s strange. it seems as though the men want to respect (?) the women that come in but are disrespectful when doing so. honestly they probably use “respect” as a mask for their misogyny
Wow she's gorgeous
The amount of crap women had to put up with and still do!
