BUDDYMOON DAY 532/1000 (VLOG 146)
Today we board a luxury slow boat cruis down the mekong river here in Laos towards a town called Luang Prabang. This cruise will take 2 days so we will be stopping over in Pakbeng for the night in a luxury hotel.
Loas has just so much to offer and this was probably one of our favorite things to do and is a must if you are ever in Laos.
We want to travel from north Laos all the way to the South and the VIP Slow boat cruise is only the 1 activity of what lies ahead for us in Laos.
On day 1 of the slow boat cruise, we stopped at a village to explore how the people live and meet some kids.

Hey all, many of you are asking who we booked this trip with. We used Nagi of the Mekong. The price also included the over night stay in Pakbeng😁 nagiofmekong.com/
How many money are you spend on this world tour?
I am going to try them..
I like the way you go to little, unknown places and make them famous. You two are absolutely down-to-earth travellers willing to try out everything a country, town or village offers.
Its nice to explore little gems😁 we feel that is where the best part of travel is😁😁
The kids in the village are adorable and cute. They've a place in Leanne's heart I bet. Leanne is such a kind and generous lady - you'll never see her without the signature smile in all the vids.
Ahhhh those kids have my heart for sure😜 they are soooo cute😁
Travelling is not something I'm likely to do, but I love watching videos of people's adventures. Your channel is one of the best. Thanks for sharing xx
Im soooo happy we are able to show a little bit of the world😁❤️
Hi

Gosh, what a wonderful video and quite an adventure on the boat. Seriously, I didnt want this video to end.
In Sri lanka this fruit is called "Rabutan"..it is quite famous in here
That lychee like fruit is called rambutan. Like durian the word rambut means hair in Malay while duri means thorn 😊
So happy I came across your channel!! I wanted to do this exact same land trip border crossing and start vlogging back in the day, but didn't. Thanks for sharing everything here! Can't wait for your next video, cheers guys!
Nice to see there's a "luxury slow boat cruise from Thailand down to Luang Prabang. And having the room included in the overall price with those views, along with fruits and drinks (food for those who eat) looks great. Thanks for sharing.

The people are amazing😁😁 that hotel was too amazing but one night is good for us😜😁
Beautiful couple and friendly..
beautiful place and amazing video and you two
Off we go on another adventure.... The hairy fruit is called a rambutan....This is such a unforgettable experience i reckon.... And accommodation is pretty awesome in a place like this .... and Laos is one of the poorest country in South East Asia... and might be the most underrated as well... pretty sure many tourists will eventually come and visit this place......Still thanks for sharing and showing us.... Looking forward to the rest of the journey... Cheers from JB / Singapore..!!
100% agree... think Laos is slowly but surely going to start becoming a hotspot for tourists😁 and I hope it does so that the people of Loas can benefit😁
I can’t wait to make this trip in a month or two !
There are some beautiful sceneries at Laos. Good video!
How amazing are the views :)
Did this 2 day trip almost 10 years ago on my first backpacking trip and really liked that journey. Not sure if these boats existed back then but they look far more comfortable (although luckily our boat wasn't too crowded). Don't think hotels like that were there yet either, and we just turned up to get what was available. Sadly our first moments in Pak Beng started off with a pickup rushing past us into town, opposite our hotel, with a young boy who had just drowned in the river and loads of people gathered at that house to mourn all thorugh the night.
Ahhhh no, that sounds terrible😮 definitely need to come back to Laos and get a new experience😁
Incredible! Fellow South African here... I absolutely LOVE your videos! I've probably watched like a 100 of your videos over the past few weeks since I discovered you on CZcams Shorts. PLEASE dont stop making videos! It brightens my day to see a new video on my home page! Love you guys! Keep up the good work! Cheers from back home!
How good is this to hear from a South African😁😁 Thanks so much. So glad you enjoying our videos😁 many more to come😜
Thanks Dan and Leanne! Cant wait! ♥

Amazing video.
Thanks!
would love to visit here and experience it.
Travel at early life is very enthusiastic, once late makes a host of pre arrangements necessary. Better early than late.
Its looks so lekker buddy moon 💯🤟🏽😍
The hairy fruit is called rambutan
Hi guys, i believe that fruit is called Rambutan. We have it in Philippines also. Keep traveling BuddyMoon!
I Love your channel a lot
Thanks. Great video. Considering this trip. We have two bags each…did others on the boat have more luggage than you did? How was the food served on board?
Nothing is wrong with Wikipedia. That's a concern people had YEARS ago. Wikipedia always relies on credible sources. Also Wikipedia also says it's the 12th longest river as well. So idk what your buddy saw.
Yes and no. A lot of their information now comes from sources that aren’t verifiable, therefore cannot be fact. A bit like how they describe new world order as a “right wing conspiracy theory” when in actual fact it’s listed on the WEF website. That’s just a tip of the iceberg in the last few years something has happened to it which is really unfortunate. I’m not saying it can’t be trusted it’s very good for a lot of information however it’s not fact unequivocally. You should still check the information yourself.
Interesting 👌👌thanks for sharing 👍
Adding Laos to my bucket list after this video
The next few videos are gona want to go even more😁
This Fruits Is Called Rambutan in Philippines last mnths is harvesting season.

Hey Leanne & Dan, love your work and your passion for travel. Have been following your vlogs for some time now and the Thailand-Laos vlogs, in particular, as my wife and i are planning to do the Mekong crossing this November.
A related question if you can kindly provide info on. Which company did you use for the boat cruise and the name of that lovely place you stayed in at Pak Beng? Would really like to book these. I checked the description and the comments and couldn't find the boat operator's name. Hence the query.
Thanks! And wish you both the best in your future trips :-)
HI, We used Nagi of the mekong. If you go on their website, you will see the different packages and choice of hotels,. We stayed at Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge, was very nice😁😁 hope you have a great time in november😁
Many thanks! Cheers and best wishes...
