  • I rescued this old farm truck and began a transformation to first get it on the road, and then I got a wild idea to turn it into a 4wd truck…it’s a C30 to K30 build

      Thank you…fun trucks! Gotta keep them on the road. Some exhaust work, interior touches, snow plow hook ups…a few more things needed. A little at a time…stay tuned👍🏻

    Very nice build and like the fact you kept it old school. Was in process doing this to a 66-c30 back in '09, but the eco crash hit me and had to sell. I'm now getting parts together for a 70-c30 to k30, turned youtube on and this video pops up. Looking forward to seeing finished result. Background shows some other jewels you have, maybe some walk around videos on their storyline. I hit the sub button to see more of your old school toys. Thanks for posting your videos, goin to watch the other ones now. Have a good one.

      @@drmstudio5050 I had to take another look at this video ! & It made me appreciate it more by knowing it's a 67, & the 1st year for this cab style which is unique in so many ways ! I own a 1999 Chevrolet C3500 dually 5.7 Vortec engine / Auto. trans. with a Heil dump bed . The reason I brought it up about the truck I own it was the last model year for the C/K series. & she only has 53,000 on the clock. Again that's a very nice 1967 conversion.

      @@ACF6180T Sounds like you have a pretty nice truck…the ‘67 started a cool body style.

    Nice 67. Are you going to restore the blue 68 K20 ?

    • @drmstudio5050
      @drmstudio5050  Před rokem +2

      The Blue Ox was sacrificed for the K30 transformation. It gave up its transmission, transfer case, front differential and rear gear set. The body was not worth saving except some parts. I have another K20 that I am accumulating parts for, as well as a “power” plant rebuild and swap for it that’s about to start in March. Stay tuned for that one!

    How did you convert the front axle to run the dually wheels?

    • @drmstudio5050
      @drmstudio5050  Před 8 měsíci

      1968 K20 donor: front differential and transfer case fabricated into ‘67 C30 dually, took rear 3rd member from ‘68 and interchanged into ‘67, then took ‘68 front and rear drive shafts and bolted them up…ta dah…K30 Chevy that GM should have built.
